I agree with previous comment. You should demonstrate this chest harness on a dog that REALLY PULLS!

We’ve got a Border Collie (Brenin) who is a serial puller. Tried this harness in the pet shop with the long training lead. Stunned! He walked normally alongside me. Took him outside and around the car park past lots of distractions. Yes he tugged at times but he didn’t pull. Brilliant concept that just works with Brenin. The long leash is so variable too. And, once you get to the open space you can remove the leash, tuck the trailing straps of the harness into an elastic ayes loop on the back and away he goes, running and foraging. 👍🏼

I'm in Colombia, purchased a Halti Harness just one week ago. It really has made a lot of difference. It requires less strength to keep the dog controlled, and the double rings make it easier for him to focus. With the plain harness I had befre, my arme would end up hurting all night and I was starting to develop calluses on my fingers from all the pulling. I mean, I just worked for me. One note, though: yes, you would need to have your dog trained to "sit" and "stay" so putting it on is not such a hassle, and it is NOT intended for telling the dog "walk on its own" in the park since it would get loose and drag all over. Other than that, I'm happy. Just checking vids to see if I can find how to best take advantage of the product.

Good video and well demonstrated. I purchased both the Halti and the training lead but I have to say, I’m not a fan of the training lead. Risk of slippage is medium to high, the trailing of the lead is a pain and should be adjustable. Not my liking but it may suit others.

The dogs in the videos are already “broken, calm dogs”, so the videos aren’t showing me anything. I’d like to see this used on a strong Black Labrador. I already use a harness on her and it doesn’t stop her from pulling.

Even little dogs really can pull. Like our toy Poodle. Believe it or not, he really really pulls and is constantly out of puff for to consistently pulling. It's quite tiring all round. Going to see if this harness setup works so making for a more pleasant dog walking experience. My older dog, she walks really nicely. The lead is slack when she walks. No more pulling but for her training I tried the walk and turn trick to stop her pulling when she was a pup. I didn't use any fancy harness like this.

mmm looks really easy on a dog that doesn't pull already. Should try it on a rescue Frug that had no training from previous owners. He is walking a little better, but not really down to the harness. What I do like is that at least it does not allow pressure on the throat.

We have a small dog and the halt harness we have doesn't have the second ring for the chest??? We had a nose halti as we, which he can take off even though it is tightened as tight as possible. The chest halti DIDN'T stop him pulling but we have recently started using the chest and nose halti together and it seems to be working, although to you have to stop and put the nose one back on after he flicks it off. Why doesn't the small size some with the option for a lead to be attached on the chest and on the back?? It May have meant that the chest halti did the job.

Tried the Halti halter and my dog spent all of her time pushing her nose along the ground, which pushed the halter up towards her eyes and tightened it. After a couple of days she'd rubbed fur off her face. Also the collar part had to be pretty tight to prevent her getting the whole thing off. Not prepared to let her hurt herself so stopped using it. Now trying this harness but can't see that it makes much difference - she still pulls so the front lead ends up rubbing along the side of her leg.

I think the problem is that you're expecting the harness to do the work. The harness is just a tool to get them used to walking on a lead. You still need to offer corrections at the right time. The harness helps you offer quick, sharp corrections whilst keeping your dog in control.

My 45lb Brittany is still able to pull quite hard with this harness which causes the slider to loosen and it rubs the fur off under is arms. The training lead clipped on to the front is just awkward for both of us, and lead clipped only to the back makes it very difficult to control, especially when he gets excited and jumps at people (have spent hundreds on training classes but he still occasionally does it). The strap with the back ring is much too long, adding unnecesary extra length to the lead. I felt like I had more control with a head collar, but I hate the pulling on his face. There's just nothing that works for us.

Physical damage. Harness go tigher and tigher when dog walk and make pressure to dog's body until dog can't walk quick. It's has samé effect like you wear boots two size smaller than usuall. You will not able to walk quick.
@Stopthegreed

@@TajemnaTemnota They dont work like that. Infact harnesses are terrible for control. Draft horses use harnesses because large animals like horses get huge leverage and pulling power from their chests.

My 11 month old Golden retriever had a Halti head collar. It took a while to get it on her. She spent the next 10 minutes back flipping to get it off. I managed to get her out side and started walking. She flipped around a bit then started walking. No pulling i was like wow. Then she went quiet still walking. I looked down and the strap was in her mouth. Still no pulling then the halti ended up around her neck. I looked and suprise she had chomped the strap. I bloody hope this harness is good.!!!!!!!

too bad the adjuster on the top does not stay in place and the training lead has no handle or a way to clip on to a regular leash. It does not work as well as it should. Try showing this with a Doberman that pulls not a dog that slightly pulls.

Sizes don’t seem right, it states that the large will fit chest size 18-24.5 inch. My french bulldogs chest is a size 24inch and it’s to big. Also states that the large would fit ridgebacks, Irish wolfhounds, Rottweilers, etc. I’m pretty sure those dogs chests would be more than 24.5 inches 🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️ says medium fits chest size 13.5-19.5. Which would be to small for my frenchie but they say that size would fit bulldogs and boxers, etc 🤷🏼‍♀️

I’m not clear on the value of this video, clearly this dog walks fine, and the video neither described the 2 ways that this harness prevents pulling nor did it show it working on a dog that pulls. Is this product just a gimmick?

Hi people. I have Weimaraner that is pictured on product packaging on the back side. I have head before head Halti and it works great. Than we would no pull harness and in the first day it showed itself very very bad. We were walking in city first and I saw skin under legs became pink. Then after forest my dog has bloody wounds that hearted him so much that we need to use antibiotics now to release his pain. It looks just like total disaster. No, they dodnt challenge the product on short hair dogs. Also in sand comes to harness it become even more painful! Don’t ever buy this product to a short hair dogs!

Bad designed harness. Stopped using it as it just takes my dogs front leg from under him and clip from lead rubs his leg. Chest plates moves to the side and I don’t feel has enough support. Will never use Halti again, waste of money.

There are two types of dog harness. One is for pulling and is used for dog sledding and bikejoring. The Halti design is the other type, to reduce pulling.
How can a harness stop a dog pulling on the lead?
