Halvarssons Wien jacket and Wish pant review

Great review. The comment about heating outlast clothing before using in the cold was especially helpful - I haven't been doing that up to now and it really does make a difference.

Just bought one from these guys, didn’t need a jacket but I saw a too good to be true price elsewhere and they matched it. Arrived in less than 24 hours and it’s absolutely brilliant, top quality. I actually prefer the bulkier body armour that my previously pinned together arms sit inside 👌🏻

A bought the trousers a few weeks ago maybe keep you dry but certainly don't keep you warm. Thought they would have been a lot warmer. This was in 10 degrees. Good video all the same.

These videos are brilliant. Keep up the good work. Not only are they great advertisements for your store, but they should save time for you and customers when we can finally get back in the shop! Think for winter I'll be going for the wein and for the very rainy days the scott jacket over the top.

Why don't you present any jackets with removable membrane? Such a jacket is much useful than a drop liner. It still has all the benefits of a drop liner (warmth, price, comfort) and in the warmer weather the membrain can be removed to give perfect ventilation. For me the choice is only between the laminated jacket and the one with removable membrane. I'd be glad to see your comparison between top jacket with removable membrane (e.g. held carese 2) and a mid range laminated jacket (e.g richa infinity pro). The price is similar.

I bought the combination and have to say, that the protectors drive me crazy. They float around in the pockets that are by far too big. Backprotector with Velcro can be solved. My left shoulder protector just disappears allover in the jacket. No clue what the solution is

Your protectors should all have Velcro on them to keep them in place. Contact [e-mail] if ongoing issue.

I currently wear Halvarssons Prince and Prime combination with Scott Ergo Pro waterproofs when the weather is really grotty, can you please explain to me how the Wien is better than my current jacket??

Hi, I had the same combo, and have just bought the Wien jacket, but mainly because my Prime jacket was just worn out, fraying and leaking badly (7 years and 45k miles), I think the jacket is no better than the Prime,less pockets and the storm collar is not as hardy, time will tell if it serves as well, the best thing for me is the destination liner jacket, works well and one less thing to pack on tours. My prince pants have given up and I am waiting for the wish pants to turn up. If your current gear is working for you then I don't recommend you change. Mine was starting to fail but have had good use from them. My Plan is to just use the scott ergo jacket when it is torrential as the wish laminates should be fine. The drop liner jackets are still more comfortable than the laminates , and to me that is the number 1 thing.

Not really a drop liner is it? The waterproofing doesn't actually come out of the jacket, more like a z-liner jacket I guess.

It is a drop liner. Drop liner and Z liner are the same.. when it comes out it is just termed a removable liner.
