Tom, thank you for the three "bite sized" videos that are excellent for giving a consice summary for their software. Otherwise, we have to wade through interminable gassing by the well-meaning creators. Excellent job.

Hey Tom, as mentioned, you really do a great job at these videos. new ham as of may and General as of last week, so these are really helpful. Question: When I right click on a "spot" it brings up a Rx spot report, is there anyway that I can call CQ to that station? Thanks.

Click on the call-sign in the call roster. I usually don't do this, preferring to work off the WSJT-x screen...

Really enjoyed this video. What are the red lines that surround a state mean? Sometimes they are also around the U.S. Thanks. Alan KZ6B
@ND3N3 жыл бұрын
Alan - Good question. Red lines outlining a state or country, indicates that someone, somewhere is calling CQ XXX, where XXX is the state or country - CQ CA - CQ ID - CQ France... etc. It can be turned on/off in the Settings Map Tab - 'CQ' Highlighting... 73 de Tom, ND3N

Great video series. Question: when doing the right click in call roster there isn't a choice for wanted to put column in bar on call roster. I've looked at wiki and don't seem to find an answer for just getting wanted calls and grids. Thanks for doing the series. Gerry W8BXR

Thank Gerry. I think there’s a way to do that. But I haven’t been successful with it yet. My XYL surprised me by telling me I was moving my shack today, so I’m in the tear down - relocate - and rebuild over the weekend. But I’ll put some effort into making it work next week. 73 de Tom, ND3N

Thanks for your 3 videos. I do a lot of CW but can not seem to get grid tracker to respond. Maybe its not for CW although in 'MODE' it has CW listed. However I get nothing on screen either TX or RX. Chris. G0MRR

I did YT and Google searches - there is nothing about this on YT and Google seems to indicate that it won't work real-time, but may be integrated sometime in the future. If you, in your research, come up with a way to do it, please share it with me - it would make a good video. I'm up for anything that increases CW use, so would love to spread the word. 73 de Tom, ND3N

Hi, Just watched all 3 YT's, really good, really informative, I have watched a whole bunch of GT YT's What I have yet to see... How when you start for the 1st time, do you get GT to recognise all your existing WSJT-X/Logbook QSO's and Status I have @ 1000 FT8 QSO's in WSJT-X / Log4OM Thanks & Best 73's

Thanks for the review. First, I'd recommend another video of mine - then the wiki. It's not a hard process. kzbin.info/www/bejne/qqeUoJVsZa-Aj9k gitlab.com/gridtracker.org/gridtracker/-/wikis/Home There are also videos (not mine) that discuss GT/WSJT--X, Log4OM... 73 de Tom, ND3N

@@ND3N Hi Tom... Thanks Yes, I have seen lots on how to configure, lot's showing it all working But none that indicate how do you initially populate GT with all you existing QSO's Where does GT pickup my existing 1,000+ FT8 QSO's from..?? Thanks...

I was playing with this last night. On the control panel there's a function button labeled "ADIF" - Clicking that button will open a window where you can navigate to your WSJT-X Log. Find that file, select it, and it should (did for me) bring in all of your WSJT-X contacts. I was even able to download my LotW contacts and upload it to GT this way. Let me know how it works for you. 73 de Tom

Gridtracker will pull your QSO's/QSL's from LOTW automatically. It will not pull QSO's/QSL's from EQSL automatically so you have to download the ADI file yourself from your archive then add this file to the Logging tab, Local files menu in the program. This is the only way I know to keep track of your QSL's and properly show "Worked B4" status in the program. You can add as many ADIF local files as needed. My WSJTX log file is only about one year old since I rebuilt my OS, and there is no way I've found to combine old WSJTX log files with the new one to keep my data up to date. The format of the file between some versions does not appear the same.

Thanks for the info - I don't use EQSL, but I'm sure this will be great information for others. 73 de Tom, ND3N

Great videos…thank you. In the call roster, how do you set it up so that you can click or double click on an item to go to that call?
@ND3N3 жыл бұрын
If the call is showing in your call roster (control panel icon, upper left corner of icon group), just click on the call and WSJT-x will act like you clicked on the call there. 73 de Tom

@@ND3N For some reason when I click on mine nothing happens...I have to go back to the WSJTX window and click on the call there. I was thinking there might be a setting I need to change somewhere???

@@ND3N Thanks, not expecting you to troubleshoot....I've been through the Wiki and they say the same thing....I'm digging into other areas that affect communicaitons between GT and my radio.....Just didn't know if you had an answer off the top of your head. Not trying to troubleshoot, just trying to help. Take a look at this video (just focus on the WSJT/GT connection) and see if it helps... kzbin.info/www/bejne/qqeUoJVsZa-Aj9k
