For the 1st time Peter, I worked 6 meters from my 155ft OCF antenna, have never heard it pick up a single thing on 6 before but, this was an extraordinary situation wasn't it?

Your setup is awesome. Similar to mine. Except I've just got started in RF. Currently using SDR with an upconverter and down converter as I can't afford the high-tech gear. I'm a bit of a noob, but wanting to make a 20M transceiver for morse code so myself and my son can communicate but having oodles of fun with the SDR receiver. I'm middle aged and almost gave up on life. But I had this goal of learning to make an FM transmitter from my youth when we ran pirate FM. Now every day is exciting again. I've subscribed. I spent last night watching a lot of your videos.

I have frequency, on 20M, that I can count on. The guys there run an open roundtable just about all day every day. They come in strong most days. I haven't even seen their signals in over two weeks.

@@watersstanton Possibly. I usually log off around 2000 hrs to drop the mast. I try not to annoy my neighbours by dropping it too late; it's not exactly silent, sadly!

@@johnratcliffe6438I was listening on 2m SSB and heard G0SKA near High Wycombe. He was really strong into Leicestershire with a raspy sound from Aurora. Indeed the 2 m band had more activity than usual around 8-11pm stations could be heard.
