Hi and thanks for all the information you always bring to your channel. I was planning to upgrade for my HT ( a Baofeng UV-5R with a BTECH AMP-25 amplifier) installed on my car to the FTM-300 or the FTM-500. In terms of what will be the best investment as an upgrade but at the same time trying to get an equipment that I'm not going to outgrow, (I mean I can use it for years without thinking of replacing it soon) what you suggest that will be a good choice to select. For my first real radio what will be my best choice to get and use or start to learn how to use its features. I'm on my way to get the Extra exam and want to get into something really good. By the way sorry for any syntaxis or grammar errors I'm from Puerto Rico and english is my second language as spanish is my everyday way to communicate. I did the test in UHF on the same frequency with a 50 ohm phantom load and at high power it gave me 39 Whatts. and on some frequencies it gave me 46 whats and on VHF 40 whats.
