Hamas likely ‘embarrassed’ by fallout from hostage rescue, says former Mideast envoy

Four hostages were rescued over the weekend by Israeli forces, but the families of the remaining hostages in Gaza will “continue to be a source of pressure” on Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, said Ambassador Dennis Ross. “Hamas is probably embarrassed by what happened,” Ross said. “In the immediate aftermath of that, I don’t believe that you’re going to see a greater likelihood of a ceasefire deal being done.”

The average Palestinian in Gaza is cooperating completely with Hamas. I am a Vietnam combat vet, and we had a big problem trying to differentiate the vehicle from South Vietnamese civilians and many times they were both the same. It was a courageous rescue and very happy for the hostages that were rescued and for the families and I’m hoping that more of these rescues will come forth.

What difference does it make? If you would watch the right news other than FOX and other such propaganda trash you would see IDF helmet cam footage which clearly shows civilian dressed combatants. Calling in air strikes to supress enemy fire so you can safely retreat with rescued hostages and your courageous men. Is there gonna be collateral damage and possible civilian casualties in populated urban warfare, undoubtedly.
