You forget what he had to go through to adopt the mentality he has now. He's made it, in his eyes, he's in a much better place now and can choose not to be a victim of his past, BUT as he was going through his past at the time, he definitely was victimizing himself. It's only after people escape the situation do they begin to rationalize their trauma and deal with it. But not when it's happening and soon after. Look how old he is now. That's how many years it took for him to reach his conclusions that he's sharing now.

Everyone needs to watch this particular podcast. It was blowing me away so much as I was listening to it that I just kept going oh my gosh oh my gosh oh my gosh. I knew some of it, but didn't know about 80% of it, and I'm thinking that most people don't know 95% of the story behind the Middle East as it is now. If you never watch any other podcast of JBP's, and especially if you're still trying to figure out your viewpoint on this conflict over there, you need to watch this one.
