Hamboards - Giant Skateboards

Board Riders Review hangs out with Pete Hamborg and his family to check out their giant skateboards, similating longboarding and short boarding. These boards are super fun! They are great for practicing surf maneuvers, like turning, carving, walking the board, noseriding, and pumping. Also, great for cruising the boardwalks.

There are no other production boards like Hamboards. I'm saving for one right now! I sent Pete an email and he responded back within 24 hours! ..and with a nice response detailing all aspects of the boards and he kindly answered all my questions about setups & pricing. In case you're still wondering, you definitely DO need the Original trucks; Pete says that no other trucks will work well for these boards; it would take the "surfy" feel away. I can't wait to ride my own Hamboard this summer!

Its a real jolt of creativity to join two great inventions and bring out a new product that is sure to carve out a place in surfing history...and the guy was just out to solve a problem... For those who cant reach the price take a shot at building your own. Or find an old carpenter and trade him work for work.

I REALLY wish i didn't live in Alabama so i could get one of these! I could buy it for sure but as for use, i'd have to drive a couple of hours to Florida to ride this 6'8" monster. It looks like a TON of fun!

rode the fish a few days ago, the board feels like it has more lean then you would ever want, and its super loose, it really feels like your surfing a fish when you have to stand on the tail when you dont want it to slide, ive also ridden a carver board before and while that may be more practical for commuting, this feels a ton more like surfing especially in the turns; there isnt any wheelbite although you can lean the board almost 45 degrees without trying

These are great looking boards and I want one so bad but they seem a little out of my comfort zone for the price, even though I know I'd be getting a totally out-of-this-world skateboard. I'd definitely buy it if I was rich.

looks like yall have alot of fun on them, just in my opinion the board looks a bit bulky i think a thinner 8 or 9 inch wide deck about 5 feet long pin tale would be more of my taste i was impressed seeing the fish board turning like that tough~!

these do look like a lot of fun i hate the people who rip on them and say tools ride them. I want to get one so bad and i really like the idea of them. some people just don't like some items that stand out or go against the norm but i think its cool when you have something that barely anybody has

@PWNDbyCANADIANS & @HamBaconCheeseBlood - I don't push mongo but I guess it's more of a style issue than anything. The "scene" skaters these days are so obsessed with looks. With a Hamboard, who cares how you push? They look so damn cool and stylish that as long as YOU'RE not a robot, you'll do fine mongo as long as you don't do a big split and tear your groin muscles and rip your pants, THEN you'll look like an idiot. On the other hand, it doesn't take too long to break the bad habit of mongo.
