Trying to shred this GIANT skateboard! (And a one legged surfer?!)

With beaches still closed, I'm continuing my mission to find stoke in other places. This week, I'm reviewing out the Hamboard Classic 6'6 surf skate. This thing is an absolute monster! Is the board size a gimmick or is this a legitimate surf trainer? This week, WorkForAvocados puts it to the test! Thanks to my friend Will for letting me borrow his board during Quarantine.

Just came across your video while looking for longboard skateboards. First off, an amazing tribute to your dad and your father/son relationship - thank you for honoring both so well! I know the feeling, my dad went home in 2012 and I continue to miss him. He was a WW2 vet and swung a mean golf club :) Surfed L.A./Ventura/Santa Barbara since I was 16 and now I am 64 and I can't wait to get back in the water on my longboard (it's been 10 years). Balance exercises are a big recommendation for Senior Citizens. I cannot think of a more enjoyable and fun way to balance than on a surf/skate board. Have not seen a skate board big enough to SAFELY do that on until now! Yes, it takes longer to heal when you are older and you have to be cautious. I am definitely going to look further into this. Thank you!!!

I don't know if I'd be able to skate such a large board... I'd probably find it pretty intimidating, especially since I've never surfed and wouldn't even know where to begin! That was awesome footage of your dad. I'm glad you guys were able to share good memories of surfing together.

It’s pretty surreal at times. Even after skating it all week, I second guess turns even though it’s fully capable. I think you’d be fine on it though! Funny enough, I never went surfing with my dad. I got interested in it afterwards, but I’m very glad we share that passion. Thank you 🙏
