It's the first glance at the biggest driver transfer of the modern age as Lewis Hamilton headed to Maranello for his first Ferrari test this week. The first image of Lewis by Enzo Ferrari's office was liked over 5,000,000 times, one of the most liked posts in the sport's social media history.
Ben Hunt is joined by Filip Cleeren and Jake Boxall-Legge to break down the early news from such a huge event. I am sure glad that from 1957 to 1977, I live most of my younger years summer seasons in Italy, where from the age of 19, I was 'religiously' reading AutoSprint as this today is going to help me live, my retirement years, savouring each instant of the Ferrari Hype that had almost vanished after the Schumacher years. Forza Ferrari! I cannot wait. My favourite is definitely Lewis Hamilton, but who does not like Charles Leclerc and, for what the constructor's trophy and prize is concerned the two drivers, working intelligently, from a well-designed F1, should be a force to be reckoned with!

Guys. The 2022 & 2024 Mercedes were POS Cars that clearly Lewis hated, but George being young & open to challenges adapted quicker than Lewis to that shitty car. However, after a year & with improvements Lewis then was the better driver in 2023. The 2024 Merc was a new design and POS, with Lewis going through the motions to finish off the season and get to Ferrrari. And the Ferrari was never a POS car like the Merc and since 2022 has constantly been improved where it just missed out being the best car that season. So 8 time World Champion is moving from a shit car to a top car as good if not better than the Mclaren or Redbull. Ferrari is about to be World Champions again, and if they have a competitive engine once more in 2026.

For sure, we already know that his wheel will have the single clutch at the top like he used at Mercedes. However, strats and engine modes and procedures as a whole are completely different, that's the difficult part.

I think Sir Lewis Hamilton will have a very sucessfull first year with Ferrari.I do not believe that Lewis Hamilton has lost his one lap pace.For the last three years Mercedes were not able to provide Lewis with a car that inspired confidence.The W15 would transition from under-steer at corner entry to the apex and then suddenly switch to over-steer at corner exit.

If the car is quick and what Lewis requires in the way it handles, brakes and drives, he will take some stopping. Leclerc may struggle against Lewis. It's all about the car no matter who is driving it. That goes for every driver in F1.

You guys talk as if drivers don't have to adjust to a new car and performance each season, the car changes every year and drivers learn the new car, why are all talking like driving the Ferrari is going to be any different from starting a new season.....learning the buttons on a different steering wheel will take getting used to due to muscle memory of the Merc wheel, nothing else is any different than starting a new season.

The issue i have with this so called F1 experts is that they think they're so good with analysis but they're always soo wrong, e.g the issue with the steering buttons is such stupid statement saying he'll have issues with that. I mean do they think that this teams can't make a steering wheel he's used to, please, and by the way he's been an F1 racer he's entire life. Charles is a good driver and a Golden Boy and can win a race on occasion, but he will never win a world title, putting the money on Hammy is the wise move

As much as I want any driver to win a title in a Ferrari, my money is on Charles. Faster than most, better at tire management than previous years, actually knows how to fight Max and will grab any opportunity he gets. Lewis has been beaten regularly by George, I don’t see why Charles won’t do the same.

IMO, Ferrari is in a tricky spot the way they are going all in on Lewis and Charles is being relegated to the back. And the media is getting sucked in. There is this assumption that Lewis comes in and suddenly he is going to be equal or better than Charles. That's a possibility but a whole lot of assumptions. Either Charles turns Lewis into Micheal Schumacher in his days to Mercedes, or Ferrari mess up put all their eggs and focus on Lewis and lose Charles altogether. Cos that would be letting go of your long term for the short term.

The engines have been different every year , so drivers are constantly learning where the torque comes in etc. These drivers are the best in the world so to think they can't dial in muscle memory for throttle and brake response is pretty stupid.
