Ffs, it takes only a google search for everyone to find out his life-long ban was overturned as early as in 2011, since it went against human rights. National court even was involved in overturning the ban. After that he was banned for years ( 7 years if I am correct). He was also working with the FIA back in 2022 as a financial advisor to newly appointed F1 boss, Stefano Domenicali. He hasn’t been banned for years, close to half a decade now. Have you been living under a rock?

Max blocked: 1) Alonso from RBR: Max saying “signing someone his age would not make sense” = pretty clear signaling 2) Sainz: had Max quashed the dad beef story, RBR would’ve signed CS. However, I don’t blame him. No GOAT has ever wanted a good driver next to them. Lewis, FA, MSC, Senna, etc. would have all done the same thing.

Its baffling for me that redbull missed out on having VER/SAI/LAW/TSU over some ridiculous situation from 10 years ago (fuck, we're old) and opted instead for VER/LAW/TSU/HAD. Lawson has not shown anything to warrant a top tier seat and neither has hadjar done anything to earn a seat in f1. Also, Briatore being accepted back in f1 just shows how much of a joke f1 really is as a "sport".

It's really Sainz's camp fault for this tbh. If they parted ways with Red Bull on a good note, Carlos would be in a top team fighting for wins. But noooo, they had to ruin it all because of their pride and ego.

Max blocked RBR from first signing Alonso and then later Sainz. They wanted both as Max’s teammate, but MV made it clear he didn’t like the idea. And I don’t blame Max. Lewis, Alonso, MSC, Senna, etc. all did similar things during their career.

My takeaway from all of this is 1. Please never allow Red Bull to change, and 2. Briatore cannot be allowed to be even F1 adjacent. The courts couldn't do it, but common sense should.

Brawn did the same exact things as him and no one ever talks about it: he was the operations and engineer head at Benetton (Briatore was just the manager) and he told MSC he should intentionally spin at Monaco in quali to stop Alonso from getting pole in 2006 and pole decides the win in Monaco.

With all the drivers that were on the market throughout the season, Mercedes made the worst choice possible. I stand up to my statement, and am pretty sure they noticed that themselves later causing them to sign Bottas as a reserve, just for the case that might come faster than expected.

I recall in 2021/2022 when everyone was desperately calling out for young drivers to get seats instead of drivers like Hulk and Kmag returning to the sport. This is the chaotic driver market we hoped for back then. So many young drivers and relative rookies getting chances, especially in top teams. While it’s not all great (Carlos drew the short straw), we shouldn’t take a season like 2025 for granted.

Tsunoda lost the chance of a Red Bull seat because of what he said on the radio at Austria. If he hadn't said that, I'm convinced he'd be teammates with Verstappen in 2025. That radio message pigeon-holed Yuki as someone who was (ironically) mentally and emotionally weak.

Tsunoda was never on course for a Red Bull seat. The only reason he even made it so far after being utterly mediocre in F1 is Honda. He was never in their plans. Plus, they didn't have to wait for Austria to realise that Tsunoda is emotionally weak. Tsunoda had been acting like that ever since he joined F1. The peak was Mexico, where he was spun and spent around 10 seconds raging before getting back to the race.

Great drivers take advantage of their opportunities no matter when they come. Verstappen won his 1st race in a competitive car. Leclerc would have won his 2nd race in Ferrari without an engine failure. Hamilton was matching his reigning WDC teammate from his 3rd-4th ever race.

Don’t forget he couldn’t even beat F2 rookie teammate Logan Sargeant while in his second F2 season. He also never out qualified Yuki. And DTM titles mean nothing in terms of F1 potential. So, while he could probably be a solid F1 driver if he was going to another team like Alpine, being Max’s teammate is going to end his career.

When there are a total of 24 races and pre season testing and the F1 season runs from March to December, of course there are going to be changes to the driver market and availability of drivers to move teams. The teams and drivers technically have 2 months off in a year. Unlike football, soccer for Americans, have specific transfer windows in the summer and January. F1 does not. so why would drivers or teams only look for spots during the outdated and outmoded moniker of " silly season"? A season denotes a specific period of time, when the F1 season runs for 10 months with no transfer restrictions, its not a season, its ongoing and should be that way.

It pains me to see Bottas out of F1 because he was Finnish like me but at the same time it's time to let the rookies come in. Bortoleto has deserved the seat so easily, he was amazing in F3 and F2 and he is as far as I'm concerned a future champion. The way he handled F2 this year was exactly like a future champion would drive. He is a much more likeable rookie than Hadjar who seems like a similar hot headed potty mouth as Tsunoda. I'm surprised that RB gave him the seat not Colapinto, but in F1 things can change quickly. It's just wrong Borto is the best rookie but gets the worst car.
