When I saw this vid I didn't know what Hamilton was and how it was going to change my life. It popped up on my recommended list on my KZbin. Then I listened to the soundtrack for the first time. After the first song, I knew that my life was going to change. Then I kind of stopped listening to it. Seen it 10 times since it came on Disney +. I never got to see it in person either. I am so thankful to have seen it from my home on tv. To see everyones expression, the veins popping out of their necks from singing and the spit ( which I truly believe it’s from being so into his character that it happened) I thank god I was able to see it. Weirdly enough, I know that moment. Back in school I've written a play in two weeks. And we successfully played it. And on opening night it went so well that after we where done people wouldn't stop clapping. After we as characters, cause I was part of the play in a small role, went behind the curtain one girl of my crew grabbed my hand, dragged me on stage and left me there, alone. And suddenly everyone stood up. Just for me, there was a standing ovation. It is my happiest thought. The thought that would make me, a depressive artiste that really struggles in life, fly with fucking Peter Pan if he asked me to think a nice thought. And so, yeah. I know what Lin felt on that stage, being applauded. That is a moment you will never forget. And it is so raw and fresh and new to you that even if you become famous someday and have more of these standing ovations, you will never experience that extreme of feelings and thoughts of just, well, good. Pure good. Pure happiness. If you felt it once in your life you know how unimportant most other things are, as long as you believe in your dream and find a way to show others what you had seen all along.

I've only watched this video twice. Once after only hearing the song "Alexander Hamilton", where I barely knew about cast members and thought "these are only songs", and the second time today, where I can now recite all the songs by heart and name everyone (even the ensemble). After going through my Hamilton journey, I can assure you that Hamilton is not just a bundle of songs, but history given to us in the most creative and beautiful way. Hamilton changed my life for the better, and boy do I hope these angels keep on going

Leslie is also VERY lucky to have his birthday on opening night. the quote at the end was so nice. a lot of people in other musicals don't really talk or hang out after the shows, but, for Hamilton, it's different. they are all such good friends and it's so cute. Hamilton made me dream of Broadway, it made me more curious about musicals it opened me to things I had never listened to before. And now? I'm crying This made me so happy and gooshy inside and I just.. Seeing them so happy with what they were doing with the show just melted my heart. The smiling boys and girls just have become such a part of my life, even though I have never met them, just is... Amazing. Lovable. Breathtaking. What more could I say? And Anthony just basking in the glory of the theater really had me thinking about just how far the show had come. They're going to go on a national tour, they'll be preforming in London... And I have no doubts it will continue on to grow. I love the cast. I love everyone and everything and I just... It makes me happy to see them happy. And then Anthony yelling, "That's what I'm talking about!!" and everyone smiling and looking so GLEEFUL that yes, they did this, people loved it, it just makes me so freaking happy that these are not tears of sadness but tears of JOY, joy of seeing all my heroes getting what they deserve, to be happy, to be shined down upon with the love of thousands.
