And here I was in love with my 3-hand Pan-Europ. Well I still am, but this is so beautiful.

At the beginning I thought this review was geared for a watch-beginner audience (which is fine) and would be vague and simple. But it turns out your video is thoroughly researched and incredibly accurate to the history of Hamilton and their positive relationship to the Swatch Group. Excellent video.

I have the same watch and with the reverse panda face. It's a beauty and from the factory it's +4sec/day, within chronometer range.

Hoy-yer, Bright-ling, Do-pwah-Duh-praz. The movement is a modified eta 7750 as well, just an FYI. Great video. These are amazing watches for the price.

+mattonthewater Thanks for the info. The movement (h-31 caliber ) is a modified 7753. It is the h-21 caliber that is a modified 7750. I agree amazing watch, still enjoying it.

Was looking at the black one several years ago for $1200 ... now it seems it is still that same price but the white one can be had for $600. After watching this video I think I'm more comfortable getting the white and saving me $$$. Thanks

+weaselid T The blue one is going to be harder to find. It is the 40 year anniversary limited edition, came out in 2011. I have to say the blue one is beautiful and wish you luck in finding one.

Great review and nice history sprinkled throughout. I've had my eye on the blue dialed version, but that silver dial is something special! How is the readability? That's my only concern about the silver dial is that the hands will blend too much. As I get older, I find that readability becomes a deal breaker for me.

+revdave61 While it's true the hands are slender, I find it really easy to read. However I do find myself staring at it, so maybe I have just gotten use to it. What ever model you choose I have no doubt you'll love it. Enjoy!

I got a deal on this and initially, based on internet pictures. I liked the silver dual. However in person, I felt like the black chapter ring really closed up the face if that makes sense, making the watch face look too small against the black chapter and bezel. The white chapter ring on the black watch really opened up the face, and balaned the bezel better. I feel like the white chapter ring would work on the silver face too. Too bad they made that choice. I ended up with the black face version.

Just stumbled upon your video @Collector of all Things after buying this same Pan Europ yesterday. I'm not a "watch guy" by any means but I started to panic when noticing that the top chronograph pusher looked to stick out further than the bottom pusher. I was comparing my watch to stock pictures and the pushers look level or flush in mostly all images. It's strange though because I have run across some images that show that some watches have the top pusher slightly protruding out a bit more than the bottom reset pusher. Your watch seems to look just like mine where you can see the top pusher comes out ever so slightly more. Like I said, I'm fairly new to watch collecting so it alarmed me that I was pressing the top stop/start pusher and it isn't doing anything. The red seconds hand isn't sweeping around like I've seen in other videos? Would you say it's a good amount of force you have to use to start the timing or should it be easily working after just a gentle push? The last thing I want to do is forcefully press anything and damage the internal mechanism. I would greatly appreciate the advice as the instruction manual it came with doesn't really have any information pertaining to this specific issue. It has instructions on where parts are located, warranty etc, but nothing about a protruding start/stop pusher, not to mention the start/stop not easily going when I press it in. I was wondering if it was maybe because I just got the watch in and it wasn't wound yet, but there was always a "constant running seconds" dial and I noticed the watch actually was keeping the time and moving. The start/stop pusher just isn't really doing anything when I push it and my first reaction was panic and noticing that the top pusher protrudes out farther than the bottom, making me wonder if it was damaged/broken by the woman who was handling my watch at the time of the sale. (I'm clearly jumping to conclusions but I don't want to have to send the watch in for repairs and have them possibly question if I was negligent in caring for it). Cheers,

+Jason Chong The top pusher on mine does stick out more than the bottom one. The top pusher does take more force to operate. When it is pushed in all the way the start / stop function should begin. If the top push is not doing anything when fully pushed in, then there is a problem and I would have it checked out. I wish you luck and hope it is just that you have not push the button in all the way. Congratulations on a great watch and let me know if it all worked out.

I appreciate the response. I actually and literally JUST returned the watch. I was very upset that I had to return it but I just didn't feel it was appropriate to pay over a $1000 for a watch that was not functioning properly right off the bat. The top pusher actually started to work just fine when I started to use it and after applying more force to push it down (I was surprised because it was a little more force than I would have expected necessary to push the button). That wasn't the problem though. After the large seconds hand (the red hand) started moving and timing seconds as it should, I stopped it and pressed the reset pusher. It reset to zero or the 60 minute hand (12 o'clock) fine maybe 1 or 2 times. After that, I was continuing to try to test the timer and it kept resetting to all kinds of places all over the dial. It first reset to 5 minute, 10 minute, 15 minute, until it started resetting all the way down to the 30 minute marker. Even when I allowed the timer to run for about 10-15 mins, it would keep resetting to positions that were NOT at the zero marker (12 pm/am) location. After this, I decided that I should return the watch and get my money back. I didn't want to attempt to go through the swatch group for a repair because like I said, I didn't feel it was appropriate to purchase something when I knew something wasn't right, right off the bat.

+Jason Chong I think you made the right decision. It sounds like you got a bad one. I hope it does not turn you off the watch. Is a beautiful piece and I can say mine is functioning perfectly. Good luck in the future. Take care.

Are the spring bars curved or just the strap. Can you put any 22mm strap on this watch. I would get a black and red racing strap with the circular holes in the strap
@collectorofallthings9123
@collectorofallthings9123 7 жыл бұрын
+Dan Delaflor Yes the spring bars are curved. As for the strap, it takes a 22mm as long as you can work through the curve any strap should fit. I like your choice of strap it should look awesome.

I love the Pan Europ... great looking watch. Sits on my wrist awkwardly though... so I had to pass. I love Hamilton for the price. However, this model is around $1000... which is double most Hamiltons.

+AdventuRide I love the watch, however I have to agree with the leather strap the fit was alright. I have since put a two piece nato and it is one of the most comfortable watches I have. As for the price this one has a beautiful movement and a great retro look. I think it is well worth the money. Thanks for the comment.

Hi , I have been watching your posts thank you , and today I decided to Subscribe :) , I need you advise please I am between three deals from the AD in UAE to buy: 1- a Tudor latest day date st steel, with st steel bracelet , but I came across 2- a fantastic beauty by Cartier the Ronde solo st steel bracelet but I dint have the Omega speed-master man on the moon in my collection my collection includes a Rolex ternograph, tessot visiodate, some so many swatch watches, two kolber watches, a Bernard H Mayer, a Raymond weil vintage pleas feel free to advise other than the three above!! Thanks in advance Tarek

+Tarek Mabrouk Any one of your three choices would be a great addition to your collection. Tudor is brand of the year. It is growing and going up in price. I really like what they are doing with the new releases. If you are purchasing for resale go Tudar. Cartier is pure class and one you pick because you really like the watch. Omega man on the moon, by many is considered to be the best bang for buck watch. The Omega is the one I have always had on my radar and is the one that always got away. I would love to own any of your choices. In the end if you can't pick up all three. The only advice I can give is go with your heart. Pick the one that most speaks to you. You are the one that will enjoy the watch. Enjoy the hunt and let me know which one you decided on.
