At 12:06 when Hamish asks the translator to translate his question regarding becoming a monk temporarily so he could train Andy, the translation wasn't accurate. Hamish was asking if he could be granted a temporary monk membership so he could be 'qualified' (the premise being that one had to be a monk in order to be qualified to train Andy to be mentally/spiritually prepared to attempt to run on water). The translator asked the monk if there existed a short course where he the monk, could teach "them" (Hamish and Andy) to run on water. In response, and this was not translated to English, or it was cut out of the final video, the monk replied that "he" (either Andy or Hamish) is too tall and would be very difficult to do this. This was never acknowledged in the video by Hamish and Andy and I guess Andy's chances of making it across the water was reduced to begin with for those reasons.

The monks had clearly sensed greatness in Andy. But, as can be seen in the now censored behind the scenes, Andy was seen sneaking off to have a few drags on a Marlboro Cigarette. That's when the monk knew he was not ready.
