There are few greater pleasures in life than listening to a Hamish Blake analogy :)
@nikmerry51743 жыл бұрын
Love the fact Cackling Jack has his own podcast but I love more that Hamish has taken the time to be a part of it, cudos. The thing that I’ve always enjoyed about Hamish&Andy is that their humour is not only natural but also not cruel. Shame Andy wasn’t part of this.

Why don't you film the Hamish and Andy podcast too!?
@tjd.45894 жыл бұрын
They do. But they don’t own the rights to it. I believe Podcast one does. That’s why it is only released in pieces.
@tjd.45893 жыл бұрын
@@BlackSlimShady what I mean is Hamish and Andy themselves don’t own the rights. So they can’t just release it. Podcast 1 chooses to just release these pieces instead of the whole thing. Maybe they get more clicks and so more $$ with just short clips compared to someone watching the whole thing.
@tjd.45893 жыл бұрын
@@BlackSlimShady then I’ve got nothing. Don’t know why Podcast1 doesn’t release the video.
@YukiAndZeroFTW3 жыл бұрын
@@tjd.4589 no it's true you make more money the more videos you put out, which is why most podcasts have highlight channels as well. That's what I think podcast one should do though, they should release full video episodes and then have separate highlight clips for people who don't feel like watching the full thing. That's basically the standard for youtube podcasts these days... Maybe podcast one doesn't fully own the monetization from their youtube channel? That's the only reason I can think of

Really really appreciate the honest convo around work experience and having a crap job. My sibling experienced all the benefits of nepotism and is utterly awful to lower staff now. Has no idea about how the world works. And because I worked a job for 5 years for less than $10 an hour, plus many many more shit jobs I feel like I can just spot those people who have no idea from a mile off. It’s incredibly frustrating. Everyone should know what it’s like to be at the bottom of the food chain. Also, I will say, I think a lot of gen z are a lot more interested in work experience than older gens. My little sister (different sibling) is very interested in doing some form of music production or audio engineering and applied to multiple studios and radio stations for her work experience. And when we pointed out to her that she wouldn’t have that hands on experience at the actual job she said “yeah but every job has boring stuff, and if I like or can tolerate that stuff, then I’ll probably like the fun stuff” and I thought that was very wise. 😊
