Hey, I love your video a lot. I just bought this ball because my old ball isn't performing well, I wanted to ask a couple questions because I'm not super educated in ball care, should I be wiping my ball after each throw? And what else do you suggest for cleaning a urethane ball, thank you!
@BowlingWorld2 жыл бұрын
Hey Jenna! I wipe my ball between shots everytime to remove the oil that sits on the ball from each shot, two reason: A) I hate the slippery feel of oil on the ball, just can’t get a grip of the ball enough if I don’t! B) I also believe that to see the best reaction out of the ball specially when possibly bowling on tougher conditions you want to make sure the ball coverstock and surface is getting the most amount of contact to the lane itself. As for ball cleaner to use if you watch the whole video through you will see that I recommend the KR Strikeforce Pure Urethane Ball cleaner! Which is also linked in the description of this video! -Patrick

Balls will perform and last much longer if you maintain their surface with the abralon pads after few games, I use the pads after 5 games.

@@browntrousersmoment Light surface work will do the trick as well! You will need a resurface every 60-80 games!

I got this ball for Christmas. I normally don't throw urethane balls unless it's a dryer lane. What is your advice on bowler trying out for the first time and as a right hander.

I'm getting one of these, but thinking about putting a short pin layout in it, something like 90x 2 1/4"x45. I thought thought an asym urethane would be a good candidate to try it out. What do you think? My concern is the BWPU is a lot stronger than the purple hammer.
@BowlingWorld2 жыл бұрын
I definitely think if you have a higher rev rate that might be a layout to consider. Truly just depends on what motion you are trying to achieve! -Patrick
@nordattack2 жыл бұрын
Don't neuter this ball by putting a short pin on it. It has a massive core with huge flare potential, take advantage of that. You can always adjust surface to make it useable on House. I use my BWP on house and it is awesome. I have the strongest, earliest, highest flare layout on it and have the cover at 4000/8000 and it digs right through the oil on House and even on Beaten Path.

I've never bowled with my thumb, but I used to bowl one handed, removing my left hand before throwing the ball. But I transitioned to 2 handed bowling, but my ball rotation is coming back towards me and to the left. Instead of it going towards the pins left. And the ball isn't hooking like when I throw 1 handed. I thought it was my throwing before. But I've watched videos and other people bowling 2 handed and I think my release is fine. I don't know anything about drilling. Do you have any advise?

I'd like to know how this compares to the purple widow urethane...u think color would make a difference in motion?
@BowlingWorld2 жыл бұрын
They are completely different coverstocks. Not just covers. I'd take the assumption that the Purple Widow Urethane is stronger as the cover is more similar to the current Purple Hammer. But I cannot be sure of this. -Patrick

@@BowlingWorld Both BW Purple Pearl Urethanes have different finishes. The first one that came out 3 years ago (The last Hopkinsville pour) was 1000-grit Abralon with the first Purple Pearl Urethane cover. the 2nd one that came out (the Reynosa pour) uses the current Purple Pearl Hammer cover, at 500/1000/2000 Siaair. The Current Pink is using the same Reynosa Pearl cover at 360/800, so it should be roughly the same, except for the finish.

@BowlingWorld2 жыл бұрын
My PAP or Positive Axis Point is 3.25x2up so most of my layouts end up looking “right handed” this is why the idea of Left or Right handed layouts doesn’t really mean much because it’s all dependent on the numbers of layouts vs. Your PAP or a bowlers in general PAP! Really need to knock out a Layouts video… lol

Where do you get the lay out for drill? What's the difference in each drill layout? Thanks for any reply, I just got this ball but not drilled yet. I have the pink widow pearl. My pro shop drilled it but I see people also drilling differently. I'm a one hand bowler not 2.
@BowlingWorld2 жыл бұрын
Layouts are determined by numbers to the relation of your PAP or Positive axis point. The right layout to the right respective ball compliments the shape of the ball to the bowler the best. Every bowler will have their own respective layout range and will all look different
