Bassist Fami (left to singer Asami in the middle, stage right) is now 2 years with LOVEBITES. She was selected in a worldwide open bass audition during an almost 2 year hiatus of LOVEBITES during the Covid-19 pandemic after founding bassist and bandleader Miho left the band for personal reasons. They came back with a new album and - three weeks later - played this double concert ("Knockin' At Heaven's Gate" Saturday, "Knockin' At Heaven's Gate - Part II" Sunday). This was the first song of the first concert after that long hiatus and also the first show with audience ever with new bassist Fami! It's obvious, that all of them were happy to be on the stage (again), and they had enormous new energy and joy. Fami was smiling like the sun during the whole show. Because of all of this: "WE ARE BAAAAAAACK !!!" (Asami at the beginning)

Welcome back to Lovebites. 'Knockin' at Heavens Gate' was the title given to two concerts played over two days in March 2023. 'Hammer of Wrath' is the opening song for the first of these concerts. They were Lovebites 'come back' concerts after they had gone on hiatus in 2021 due to their original bass player and founder Miho leaving the band for personal reasons, two members, Asami and Miyako, having babies, and the general situation with Covid. A new bass player, Fami, was recruited in October 2022 when she was 20 years old and still at University. This is her first time on stage with the band, and her first time in front of an audience of this size. You can tell by her ear to ear grin that she is having a blast 😁🐺 A suggestion for further listening, 'A Frozen Serenade' or 'Edge of the World' to see a different side of them.

If I may make a small correction, the brunette guitarist who rolls her eyes is not the bassist. It's Miyako who is the other lead guitar with Midori the blonde guitarist. The bassist is Fami the youngest of the group. And while I'm at it the drummer is Haruna and the singer is Asami. I hope you will continue with Lovebites because other fabulous surprises await you. You're very cool😁 although Metal might seem a bit, well... heavy for a girly girl like you, THIS is the best band for you to acquire a taste for "metallic" things lol🤘 And Lovebites are also very cute and feminine. We fans love them as they are, and appreciate their visual. It's so different from the usual black-leather-spikes-skulls-and-bones of the genre but we don't mind because they're GENUINE and their message is very uplifting. No growls, negativity or scary themes anywhere in their discography. Apart from them, J-Metal and Rock is shocking full of all-female bands, give'em a try! (and yes they're also cute)🤘🐺🤘
