Whe. You do Band Maid do their early work first... do Non Fiction Days.
@gerardcote8391Ай бұрын
Lots of Female Metal bands now. In the 1980s there was a group that got some success I'm the US called Show Ya. And no Female bands were successful since. In 2008 Aldious was formed and with zero label support and no interst in Female bands the formed their own label and released an EP. This sold out near over night earning rhem the #7 spot on the Indie chart... proving there was a market for Female Bsnds. Then he rush went on to sign Female bands.... so you got Band Maid and many more getting contracts. Lovebites was formed by ex Destrose drummer Haruna and Bassist Miho who were from an earlier band that had a bunch of hood songs but were in the between Show Ya and Aldious where Female bands were not successful. You gotto see the band that kicked this offf... Here's 2 Halloween videos from them... Aldious Sweet Temptation music video and their video for Lose Control. Vampires I. The first Psycho killer in the second.

Lovebites is amazing, best metal band in 3 decades. Super talented musicians and singer that are dedicated to play metal in various genres like heavy, thrash, power/speed, prog, neo-classical, hard/pop rock, power ballad, etc. The best guitar duo Midori (crazy Shredder) & Miyako (The Golden Touch) aka M&M that love to play harmonized/duet shred. Powerful operatic melodic voice by tiny 4'10" Asami. Crazy beast fast drumming by a tiny 4'9" Haruna-The Little Big Engine (founder). Power bassist Miho - The Natural Head Banger (former band member/founder). Now, since 2023 new young bassist, Fami-The Shining Fingers (21yo). Super talented bassist and own KZbin channel (600k+ subs) for playing slap bass. So many things to say about them. Dig more to confirm it. Great reaction anyway 👍🤘

SSS is a " must listen " it will blow your head off ! . BTW - not bad for 2 guitarists who didn't START playing guitar until they were 19 years old - and Miyako the dark haired one is self taught in addition to composing the vast majority of the band's music . Don't know if you noticed but there was a grand piano on stage ( Miyako's a concert level classically trained pianist who plays guitar - she actually gave two piano recitals in Tokyo yesterday of a mixture of classical and Metal piano pieces which she adapts ) . All the bands on your list are definitely worth a listen - you'll be shocked and wonder how you've never heard of them before 🤣

Yes, they came to Europe this year. I discovered them at HellFest OpenAir in june, not expecting anything from 5 japanese girls in princess dresses and heels... Wow, how wrong I was... They absolutely kicked my a$$, and I could not stop smiling during the whole performance, totally blown away by the dexterity, the melodies, the energy... I'm a fan now, and I can't wait to see them live again !! Miho, the bassist and co-founder that you saw in the 3 songs you listenened to left the band and has been replaced by Fami, a young fantastic player, and you'll also see that the piano on the right is not only for show... Miyako, the dark haired guitar player is a stunning player, yes, but not only on guitar, be prepared ;-)

Should he listen to Soldier Stands Solitarily, folks? YES! 1000x YESSS! Not only is it one of their most brilliant compositions (not to mention major Iron Maiden "Paschendale" vibes in the beginning), but it showcases their new bassist 22-year-old phenom Fami! Also a major YES to all of the bands you listed at the end of your video, especially Hanabie, Nemophila, Aldious, Bridear, Fate Gear and Gacharic Spin (and their offshoot Doll$boxx), as well as Band-Maid, which you mentioned at the beginning. Also Destrose, though they are now defunct, will give you a glimpse into how LOVEBITES (as well as Mary's Blood, Fate Gear and some of the others) got their start, as original bassist Miho and drummer Haruna, the founders of LOVEBITES, were originally members of Destrose. Other former members of Destrose include Saki from Nemophila/Mary's Blood, and Captain Mina from Fate Gear.

Also check out ‘Swansong with the Chopin Intro’ to see just how talented Miyako can play on a grand piano - amazing!

Oh My god !!! 3 songs from my favorite metal band. i jump in . and i enjoyed each second of this reaction video. I vote for more Lovebites. witch ones ???? well any of them. there is no bad song in Lovebites catalog. there is some you'll like more than others but none you'll not like. If i can choose one ... i'll choose a very rarely reacted because no MV or Live. just audio on KZbin. it is "Dystopia Symphony". This song is a masterpiece ( but Lovebites is a masterpiece factory ) about the anger and sadness of Beethoven when he is becoming deaf. of course you'll find some extract from Beethoven Sonatas in it.

It's been a while.....so glad you finally found Lovebites!! 'Proper metal,' 'fantastic band,' however you want to word it, they are awesome at what they do and I love them!! Yes they proudly wear all their influences on their sleeves and represent well, but going beyond those confines and really creating a style of their own! Thrash, neo-classica,l speed, and power metal are probably their mainstays but I also love when the do ballads-gone-prog! All fantastic, enjoy the journey!!🤘

Jim, you only just found them?? Boy are you in for a treat….These ladies brought back the love I had for metal back in the days of Judas Priest and Iron maiden. Top Top band and gets my vote for an extended run on the channel. Plenty of other great tracks and some surprises in store for you. The singer and guitarists take the initial attention but over time it is the drummer who has impressed me the most she is a machine!!! To broaden your view check out ‘Edge of the World’, ‘Frozen serenade’ and ‘Swan song (with the Chopin intro). A full album listen to their latest album ‘Judgement Day’ would be worth slotting into the running order if you can find a vinyl copy.

Welcome!🎉 Thank you for your reaction to LOVEBITES.😃 Very nice analysis and impression.👍👍👍👍👍🤗 Thank you for your continued support of LOVEBITES.🙏 ❤️LOVEBITES❤️ has about 65songs.🎁💝 They are very humble towards their fans. So they practice really hard for their live concerts so they can give a good performance to their fans. 👑🎤Asami-san👑 said at the concert "Our songs are complete at the concert!" If we try to think or analyze them, their band, their songs, or the BPM of their music based on the public's previous concept of metal bands, we are limited in our understanding. This heavy metal band continues to evolve. LOVEBITES was formed in 2016 by Miho(Ba) and Haruna(Dr), members of the band "DESTROSE", which went on hiatus in 2015. The girls made their major label debut in 2017 (March 24) with "THE LOVEBITES EP". On 11 June 2018, LOVEBITES won '🏆BEST NEW BAND' at the Metal Hammer Golden Gods 2018 awards organised by the British metal magazine METAL HAMMER. On 4 August, LOVEBITES performed on the W.E.T stage at WACKEN OPEN AIR 2018, one of the world's largest annual metal festivals in Germany, with the 10,000 capacity venue almost full. "Bloodstack open air 2018(Aug. 10)" also participated. On August 20,2018, LOVEBITES announced that it has partnered with X-ray Touring, one of the largest players in the UK booking agent industry. LOVEBITES toured the Netherlands, Germany, France and UK from November 13-21, 2018. Asami (Vo) of LOVEBITES appeared as a guest on stage at Halestorm "Download Japan 2019(March 21)", singing alongside "Lzzy" Hale on Halestorm's 'Love Bites', which gave the band their name. LOVEBITES performed as a support band for "Arch Enemy's China tour at the Shanghai show on March 23 and the Beijing show on March 24, 2019". LOVEBITES make to concert in London this year 14 of June and 1 of July. It was their 3rd UK tour. First one was in 2018 ( metal hammer give them the golden of trophy the best new band) in 2019 LOVEBITES was opener for the DRAGON FORCE UK tour ( 11 show in 2 weeks). I saw them in Paris last June best concert ever. Welcome to the Wolfpack. They're the Queens of HEAVY METAL. Lots of reactors said about ASAMI the singer, she's the female BRUCE DICKINSON.

That was a proper introduction to Lovebites! Welcome to the Wolfpack! Imho, they’re the best metal band on the planet right now, and they’re also my favorite band of all time. They don’t have a bad song in their catalog. Lots more like this, but also some that are more ballad-like, some beautiful piano parts (Miyako, the black-haired guitarist, trained on piano since she was 3, so is at least as good, possibly better on piano, and that’s saying something). I think they’re the greatest guitar duo of all time, given how amazingly they can play together and off of each other. They’re so amazing. They should be much, much bigger than they are. Getting the word out about metal bands is not quite like the 80s it seems, but they’re among the best there is. Again, my very biased opinion lol. Hope you check out more! You won’t be disappointed! Edit: oh god Soldier is your next track? That’s a hell of a ride, that one!

Welcome to Lovebites, the Wolfpack Lovebites fans around the world, will be along to give you information and recommendations. Lovebites are a Japanese heavy metal band, formed in 2016 by Miho, Bass, who was previously in the band DESTROSE that broke up in 2015. They take much of their influence from the 1970's and 80's British and European bands such as Iron Maiden, Judas Priest and Metallica. Miho is a big fan of Steve Harris, bass player with Iron Maiden and is influenced by his playing style. She left the band in 2021 for personal reasons and is currently pursuing new projects. Any Lovebites video recorded in 2021 or earlier, the bassist will be Miho (ESP Bass), any from 2022 or later, it is Fami (Bacchus Bass, usually a 5 string) The present members are, Asami, Vocals and Piano. She trained in Ballet Dancing and before Lovebites was a R&B singer. She writes many of the lyrics and sings in English, not easy for a native Japanese speaker. Midori, (Midori Tatematsu) ESP Guitars. The blond 'Amazon Warrior'. Before Lovebites a member of all female band GEKIJO METALICCHE. Miyako, ( Watanabe Miyako, also has used the name Mi Ya) Dean and Gibson Guitars, Piano and Keyboards. The 'serious' one with long black hair. Before Lovebites a member of the bands DROP OF JOKER, 21g and SONIC LOVER RECKLESS. She is a classically trained pianist who writes much of the music, often incorporating classical themes into her compositions. She recently posted a 3 part series on her YT channel 'MIYAKO OFFICIAL' about the process she uses to compose new music in her home studio. She has an EP of some classic heavy metal songs transcibed and played on piano as though they are classical works. It would be accurate to think of her as a classical pianist who also plays guitar in a heavy metal band. A remarkable young woman. Both Guitarists play lead, seamlessly swapping lead and rhythm as required. They play wonderful harmonised dual solos. Fami, Bacchus Bass. Recruited as replacement for Miho in late 2022 when she was 20 years old and still at university. She has her own YT channel that has nearly 700,000 subs. Check out her 'Alien Alien' Slap Bass cover from when she was in her teens. Haruna, Drums. The 'Little BIG Engine'. a tiny lady, 1.45 meters tall, who is the power house that drives the band. Before Lovebites she had been in Destrose, Miho's former band, and was the first to join her in the new band. She plays powerfully, fast and precisely throughout concerts that can be up to near 2 hours long. She uses a double kick bass pedal at unbelievable speed. All members of the band can play piano/keyboards. They were the first all female Japanese band to play at the Wacken festival, Germany in 2018, also playing at the Bloodstock festival in the UK and winning the UK Metal Hammer Golden Gods award for best new band. In 2019 they toured the UK with Dragon Force and opened for Arch Enemy in China. Following Miho's departure in 2021 they went on hiatus, two members, Asami and Miyako getting married and having babies. Their 'comeback' concert, the first with Fami on Bass, was in March 2023. The second song you reacted to, Set The World On Fire, is from a concert performed in 2021 under strict Covid restrictions. The audience was limited to 50% capacity with mandatory masks and no shouting or Cheering. This is part of the reason the performance may seem less dynamic than some of the bands other shows. In addition, Miyako, the black haired guitarist was several months pregnant at the time. Her only concession for a 2 hour long concert was to wear flat shoes instead of her usual high heels. Here are a few recommendations for further listening; Break The Wall, Soldier Stands Solitarily, Golden Destination (there is a video that has footage from their 2019 tour of the UK with Dragon Force, including Herman Li as the 'missing sixth member of Lovebites' wearing a white dress) M.D.O., Scream For Me (live from 'Daughters of the Dawn' "OK Haruna, Give me the beat") For a masterclass in syncronised guitar shredding. Winds of Transylvania (written for a Japanese Anime series VLADLOVE) A Frozen Serenade, Swan Song, with the Chopin piano introduction played by Miyako, Edge of the World, Epilogue. There are many more I could suggest, but this should give you an idea of their range. The Wolfpack will have more suggestions. I would suggest watching live performances wherever possible. The ladies really shine on stage. I saw Lovebites live in London twice during their recent European tour. I have been a fan of Rock and Metal music right from the beginning seeing bands bands like Black Sabbath, Deep Purple and Iron Maiden when they were 'new', Lovebites are amongst the best I have ever seen in nearly 60 years of going to music gigs

Led by bassist Miho, the line-up features her ex-DESTROSE bandmate Haruna on drums, ex-Gekijo★METALicche guitarist Midori, ex- A DROP OF JOKER bandleader Mi-ya and seasoned session singer Asami." "When DESTROSE went on hiatus in 2015, bassist miho was slower out of the gates than her colleagues in starting her next full-time project. However, after a short stint touring with MOTH IN LILAC, Miho re-emerged in July 2016 as the bandleader of LOVEBITES, the first girls’ metal Supergroup. The band also included ex-DESTROSE drummer Haruna, fresh out of retirement after plans to marry fell through; Midori, ex-guitarist of proto-'kawaii metal' trio Gekijo★METALicche; and Mi-ya, formerly of melodic metalcore unit A DROP OF JOKER. Their self-titled debut mini-album was released in Japan on May 24th this year."

The Japanese band boom began with The Beatles' Japan tour about half a century ago. This trend has been carried over to the present day, and there are more than 100 female bands alone. Among them, LOVEBITES is one of the top groups. They wear white, feminine stage costumes that are out of place for a metal band. This is because most of them are small and needed to stand out in the dark live house, and all of them, except for vocalist Asami, a former ballet dancer and R&B/Jazz singer, were tired of the black costumes of metal bands. However, this costume carried the risk of being rejected by those around them and becoming isolated. However, they chose to wear white costumes, saying, "I don't care if I'm treated like a lone wolf. We'll do what we want to do." And they made the wolf the symbol of their band.

I f you thought that in order to play heavy metal you needed to wear black outfits, chains, tattoos, make ugly faces, growling, do drugs and drink lots of alcohol, well, you were totally wrong. Some people say that they’re breaking the walls of stereotypes in the metal scene. Welcomed to the mind-blowing world of Lovebites. These Japanese women are extremely talented, skillful and exceptional versatile musicians. Their live performances are outstanding. Their influences are the great metal bands of the past but they have been developing their own and unique style. Miho (former bassist and founder of the band) once said that they wanted to play as heavy as men but keeping their femininity. They toured Asia and Europe in 2018-2019. Their performance at Wacken Open Air, Germany, 2018, was a great success. In 2019 the toured the UK, opening for Dragonforce. A couple of months ago they finished their tour in Europe, Asia and the USA. Thanks for reacting to Lovebites. My next suggestions are “Judgement day”, “The hammer of wrath”, “We are the resurrection”, “Soldier stands solitarily”. All live. Some people even say that rock is not dead… it just moved to Japan.

I concur. BABYMETAL is primarily an entertainment project with backing group (Kami-Band), completely contingent on AMUSE Inc. Their member's "freedom of expression" is limited by contract constraints of the "parent company". (Don't get me wrong, I love All Four women on stage !) But LOVEBITES is a number of independent artists which are gathering in order to create a group of successful musicians with common interests - while keeping their individuality and their own social media channels for free unconditional representation. . .

I think of Babymetal as a concept or the exception that proves the rule. However you feel about them, they are owed a debt of honour by all of the bands, Lovebites included, that are now enjoying success outside of Japan. They opened people's eyes to the wealth of talent Japan has to offer, even if it was by means of "what the hell did I just watch!" I will be eternally grateful to them for that.

Welcome to the Wolfpack!! 🐺. Yes, they have been to Europe, including Download festival in 2019. Lead singer , Asami, at that festival , joined Halestorm on stage to sing the halestorm song "Love Bites (So Do I), the song her band is named after. Formed in 2016 by drummer Haruna and original bassist Miho (seen here) after their former band Destrose broke up. Guitarist Miyako (dark hair ) is a classically trained pianist, together with Midori they form one of the best guitar duos today. Miho left in 2021, new bassist Fami won the auditions and joined in Oct 2022. Good call on the Metallica and Iron Maiden, those 2 bands, along with Slayer, Judas Priest , and Helloween, are some of their big influences. 4 albums and 4 EP's to date. Sure, check out "Soldier Stands Solitarily", in that you will meet new bassist Fami. Also with her : "Judgement Day" and "Stand and Deliver( Shoot 'em Down) Yes, I've heard of most of those bands you mentioned at the end. Nemophila is my favorite, try "Oiran" (official live) for them. Also check out Band Maid, suggest "Hate?" (Official live).

Lovebites, Band Maid, Babymetal, Nemophila, Hagane, Hanabie, Destrose, Mary’s Blood, are some of the “ladymetal” bands in Japan leading the way in heavy metal music in the world today! It’s a shame that more people around the world don’t know about this..

You realise you just invited in the Wolfpack, don't you? 😂 But yeah, LOVEBITES are awesome. Asami is actually singing in English. I got into Japanese music towards the end of 2019, and their album Electric Pentagram (from which these songs are taken), came out a couple of months later, just before the pandemic arrived. I listened to it non-stop for months. Still their finest album, for me, although they are all good. I think you should give GLIM SPANKY a listen. Brilliant old school blues rock with a Japanese twist. Their song 大人になったら (When We Grow Up) is my favourite.

Others that come to mind are BRATS (cofounded by one of the members of Ladybaby), Drop’s, Stereopony, Scandal (still touring globally), and Princess Princess, which all tend more in the pop direction. On the metal side, there are the Bang-Dream projects, which are live groups based on Manga series (there are 9 bands so far in Bang-Dream). And of course, there are other female-fronted Kawaii-metal groups like Ladybaby and Ironbunny, to name the two best-known after Babymetal. Lovebites are THE best live Metal band I've seen in 50 years of going to gigs (my first was Sabbath in 76). Band-Maid are THE best Hard Rock band on Earth and the best I've ever seen live (sorry Zeppelin but 79 was a long time ago). In fact, Japanese female Metal and Rock bands are making all the best music of the 21st century - complex compositions played to perfection and with ease by some of the best musicians on Earth...and played with smiles and in high heels! For the best Punk since the 70's try Hanabie or Otoboke Beaver, while best vocal fry has to be Nemophila or Hanabie again. All female, all Japanese, all virtuoso musicians. PS Try Band-Maid live and be stunned at the best call and response between bass and lead ever - HATE? live 2023 kzbin.info/www/bejne/r5eyg6KHftZ1aacsi=UWU15mTKVSflLl4R
