Double bass was never considered cheating to begin with. And the way he does it, is he hits the red pad with the base of his left stick.

Haha. I love how calm you are when you miss it. Other people would have some extreme freak out afterwords, but you sit there calmly.
@Midfeildjake2415 жыл бұрын
this song has many tempo changes. they look easy to spot but when you are playing the song your mind still thinks you're at the old temp so you aren't even close to hitting the notes. its difficult but a good skill to have.
@RedSharkMan15 жыл бұрын
Easiest way to 4-star it using one pedal is pretty much save your overdrive for when you have constant kicks with RY, and just mack the hell outta that for points. For staying alive during the other fast bass parts you can just hit half of the bass notes and pretty much be alright. Helps if you can combo the ending as well, as far as getting 4-stars.

@orfenandanarchy True, to an extent. Early Between the Buried and Me is metalcore, later BtBaM is generally considered Progressive Extreme Metal (like Opeth).

@TheDevilWearsNikeAir Haha. This song was made in 1992 and was on there second album (Tomb of the Mutilated). They didn't have much money obviously. And I think it sounds decent. They are very skilled indeed. Btw this song was made when they had Chris Barnes as the vocalist (just incase people didn't know).

yeah, that's what i was saying: but i mean, on SOME songs like Disturbed pack, the double bass is slow enough that you really don't need it, in any case. here, that's not the case: it's much more viable to use double bass
@IxTerrorOfDeathxI15 жыл бұрын
Yes, back when it came out. These songs however, were charted with TWO pedals in mind. AS for the whole two feet one pedal, that's not really something you'd do in real life while drumming, you'd just double bass.
@ProlificPandas15 жыл бұрын
Yea i think it is for most songs, ever since GH: M... but if not, definitely should for this song due to the overcharting on bass.
@metallicaguy8515 жыл бұрын
about ur comment saying someguy was only hitting the yellow notes and the red ones magically getting hit... he was hitting the rim of the red pad with the bottom of his stick or maybe hand
@azuritereaction15 жыл бұрын
this is the first song on rock band that i think using double bass can be excused on, especially due to the fast part (the pattern that's at :41 to :50, and every time it comes up after it). i know i've comboed that part with one foot and so have others, but it's legitimately fast enough that it's fine to use double bass there too if you like. (no i am not putting this run down, duh) gg run though, -1? jesus :X this song has a TON of tempo changes too, which makes it even more difficult
@Enigma79315 жыл бұрын

@worldssmallestfan Possessed was the first band to form the Death Metal sound more than any other band, and they got popular from Seven Churches, Death wasn't "on the map" until Scream Bloody Gore. People say SBG is the first true Death Metal album, but it has just as much thrash as Seven Churches did.

plus there are tons of rock band players who use a double pedal. it's actually a good idea to have a double pedal if you think about it for this song. plus, it's not CHEATING, it's just HELPING them to get 100% on the song....

*If it's PS2, I'd say Guitar Hero, but only based from the reason that neither one can access the internet. *PS3 or Xbox360, I'd say Rock Band, particularly on drums since if you got the RB1 set in another Harmonix game, you don't have to worry about the batteries. *I'm not sure about the Wii, though. One is cross-compatible with another, but not vice versa.

@Junglist562 I can keep up with this song just fine one-footed. My ACCURACY is pretty shit, but during the fastest parts I hold combo just fine. This song is 100% possible to do with one foot/pedal. The others, though...
@chronicle1515 жыл бұрын
It is, the hard part of this song is the blasting. For the bass parts your just need a good heeltoe technique and a good basspedal.

@auron6293 Except for this is more related to Grindcore, If you want to hear some good Death Metal look up something along the lines of Stabwound by Necrophagist. Or better yet, Deliverance by Opeth.

you are amazing, but i want to know how (because it really looks like it from the vid) at 3:20 you manage to switch the red to the top left tom and switch the yellow to the right tom. @azazeldrummer Actually, I play real drums and rockband drums and the only difference is the way the stick comes off of the drum heads and that there are only 4 pads in rockband, otherwise the sticking and all the mechanics are the same as real drums. And yes I know real drums can have up to 3 times or even more drums/cymbols but it is still the same thing.

Just because you don't like it still makes it music. Its organized sound. Just like any mainstream band. Metal takes some getting used to. People usually dont jump right into heavy hardcore bands like cannibal corpse. They usually start with like iron maiden and then as they crave heavier harder stuff maybe go onto metallica and slayer. Then we end up with stuff like cannibal corpse. Sick as fuck and heavy as hell.
@SgtDeath25815 жыл бұрын
It's legal to use double-bass for RB now since GH made a kit that works with both games and is easy to hook up two pedals to. So naturally with all the GH players using their double-bass kits, Harmonix/Scorehero had to say "Well go ahead and use 'em if you got 'em!" I still don't like the idea though, RB should be played with 1 foot because they don't chart double-bass, GH can do it's own thing though. I've passed all these songs except Horrible Night 1 foot, and I plan to pass that one soon!
