The thing that has stood out most to me is how good his press conferences are. I’ve always heard that he’s a quiet, shy person, but he’s quite the opposite. He’s enthusiastic, he’s personable and most importantly he actually gives information. If that’s the demeanor, he’s taking behind the scenes, it’s an incredibly huge difference between the last coach and he. and after the game, his interaction with Lucas made it look like they’re already pretty close. And just a matter of days, my opinion of Graham Potter is 180° different than I had before. As for a striker, I don’t think we need a 20 goal striker (something fans always chuck around but doesn’t exist). We need someone who will score 9 or 10 but who brings other players into play. Goals for everyone courtesy of the striker. That’s what we need.

The best thing and the most significant thing that has stood out to me so far is the press as exemplified by the two goals we got. Haven't seen anything like that from us since forever
@MassiveHammers4 сағат бұрын
Really want to see Kudus through the middle, he's got pace, can go passed players, with a loan striker and possibly Duwsbry Hall. I think that would be a good window!
@timdiggines7684 сағат бұрын
if i'm right... seeing Potter after the first, he's congratulations are towards Alvarez who's press for that goal was superb, it was planned so we forced it, thats good tactical play
@darrenwarby68745 сағат бұрын
That was outstanding to get a win with the players he has at the moment. I always have something bad to say about Danny Ings. But you played good 👍. Ings. The defence is a nightmare still but im a happy hammer 🔨. Get in there Potter

Just give the poor guy your jumper, Frankie! Great video as always from you two. The comment about the modern game and strikers is so true - look at the Euros - was hardly any strikers with a decent goal count as everything came from wingers and midfield.

Strange how the match commentators didn't mention that both of Fulham's goals were complete flukes eh. No intent by Iwobi. I think we got a way with one at the start of the game when they hit the bar, but Fab was rarely under pressure. All 3 of our goals (and the disallowed one) were well taken. Too much confirmation bias with the commentators.

Potter will be our manager for atleast 5 years. Big shout. Quote this in the future.
@Mr_Boff6 сағат бұрын
This was said last week, by the board, who said they expect his tenure to be 5-10 years. Yes, they said “expect”. Not actually a “big shout” mate…
@Hammertime656 сағат бұрын
@Mr_Boff i honestly hope , that after what I've seen , i don't care if he gets west ham to higher places and into the Cl id be very happy if potter was a long term coach . The difference between potter and moyes is chalk in cheese 🧀 . When we play Everton i really really hope we spank everton . Coz as far as iam concerned we are in the shit players wise because of moyes
@stuartwillardscreenworx40356 сағат бұрын
It was a positive attitude that got us through those first two seasons under Moyes (whether you deem it was he who I installed it belatedly during the Covid break or otherwise) sadly we completely failed to build upon it and inevitably it faded during the latter part of season two. Potter, I am expecting will not be so naive and complacent in that regard over similar time, but firstly instilling and maintaining that togetherness is vital. But a good start.
@mercedessl87186 сағат бұрын
Yes agree it was positive especially when Lingard turned up but dithery Dave was unable to maintain momentum. Plus you have that dwarf on the scene
@keithvandermotten97154 сағат бұрын
Spot on Frankie about the commentators yapping about how we gave them two goals. Man City get goals like that all the time,( a good press forcing a mistake) and commentators praise them to the hilt for it. Turning the sound down the only answer
@markblondrage27767 сағат бұрын
We definitely need couple players now though as if it’s left till summer we may struggle more with the funds because we may be looking for another keeper in the summer, can’t afford to leave too many needdd till that long

@markblondrage27767 сағат бұрын
@ I don’t care if we ship 6 each game as long as we get 7 😂 if you win every game by 1 goal you win the league 😂👍 I do see what you mean though if we lose win draw then goal difference is key

@@markblondrage2776 We've now conceded 117 in our last 60 Premier League matches. And we haven't had a 20 goal a season striker in the Premier League era At least one of those stats has to change.

If you were at the ground you could see why Paqueta was man of the match. When he moved to the right he won a lot of the long balls hit up to him by Fab.
@markblondrage27767 сағат бұрын
For grit and determination that’s the best performance for me for a long time, if we didn’t press them then they wouldn’t of made a mistake then the goals wouldn’t of happened so we deserved it

I think the Kudus sub made more sense to those at the game, still surprising and brave but in the second half Kudus looked like he had given up unless he was on the ball. He looked tired and disinterested. For Fulham’s first goal he got knocked off the ball and stopped and was still on the half way line when they scored. Hopefully it’s more about energy levels than commitment but everyone around me started giving him some stick and weren’t complaining when he went off.
@BenQuigley-rt5om6 сағат бұрын
Fulham only had 2 more shots on target than us for all their total shot count. We were more clinical. Their goals were arguably gifted errors too, terrible hesitant defending and goalkeeping.

There was a togetherness last night that we haven’t seen for some time. Players looked to be enjoying it and this in turn transferred to the fans. Potter largely responsible for that. Roll on Saturday
@lubberwalker7 сағат бұрын
Iwobi put in 4 potential goal assisting passes: -2 of them were latched onto hitting the woodwork -the other two 2 went straight in for their goals Point I'm making is. Somerville is our Iwobi, playing the same area of the park. ... and in my opinion far better. Time to recognise that he is a play maker and focus around him as well as Bowen.
@barryholman26457 сағат бұрын
Well said Geo and Frankie. Fulham did not gift us the game, we earned the win. Our goals were well earnt. Soucek goal was great goal, he was a good captain, and really feel we need to keep him. Actually we gifted Fulham two goals. Perhaps Fulham only let off, was the miss shot at the end with Traore, but even then, our defenders threw their bodies, and probably caused the poor shot.. Also so well done Potter reacting as and when necessary.
@lubberwalker6 сағат бұрын
When is someone going to talk about Soucek literally wandering about offside before and continuing during the free kick that was disallowed.....as offside?
