I started using hammocks for wild camping about twenty years ago and ever since only resort to bivy bags or tents for mountain (treeless) treks. Hammocks are so much more confortable, not cramped like in a tent, can see all around, don't need flat ground, insect free, etc etc. A lightweight hammock only costs about £10 for a length of nylon and two lengths of rope and not even ten minutes to make. Love them. Great video. I'm going to try and walk in your footsteps by finding and camping near those magnificent yew trees.
