this song reminds me of my freshman year at college. we had a church there which no one went to. i'd sit there and do my homework, take a nap, and just relax and draw. and in that silence, where no live thing came to disturb this place, music like this filled the silence. it's interesting really, how our minds when confronted by the silence...adds thoughts, images, sounds, words, and memories to fill up the empty void. so, for me this song brought me back...to that time...when music seemed to just flood my ears in the silence. just listening to a song....that no one else could hear. just me and the sky. and then i wasn't alone. i had the music and silence together as company. truly...i must go back...to such a place...in another place. maybe even this place.

What you wrote here is prose... So beautiful and touching... In that place, it may hap that we too find you there... But we will say nothing. We will just share the silence while listening to this song in our hearts...

I don’t know what love is. It is too abstract to define. But to me it approximates knowing that somewhere else in this world strangers where also moved to learn of such beautiful music. Music that transports me away to somewhere so vast, expansive, and ethereal. Yet at the same time and all of a sudden I’m no longer alone.

I remember the day I was at the graveyard saying goodbye to my dearest grandmother. When I got out from the church, I felt in the floor and started to moan and cry like a child. Like that child that felt with her companion everytime, everyday, from the early morning with her milkshakes, fixing our meals for my sisters and me to carry us to the kindergarten and former school. She always made to me the best french fries and the best milanesas whenever I wanted, such a caprice... But the most important thing was her touch and her vision of the world. I started to love nature through her because she always saved injuried and lost birds that she found alone, lost, in the streets. She raised two pigeons and when they flew away, they always came back just to say hello to her. My ornithologist side is from her. And surely the respect for the nature, the huge lovely kinds she had at me until her last days at april in 2017. This song will always remind me of you ❤ crying... But in a smile. All the love you gave me and teached me is one of the greatest treasures that a human cannot save for themselves. Today, on an un-human turning world, I rather share and spread the seeds of the big tree that she put in my heart. ❤

That's the magic of Hammock, they blend happy notes with sad notes, so your emotions go from hapiness to sadness in a split second and vice-versa, that's life :)

madeinwales68 this song, and album in particular deal with the death of one of their nephews and I they tapped into that to create this music. I think most of us can feel the grief inherent in it and so it’s natural to express our own experiences with it.

Their music is very emotional and sad, even morbid at times, which relates to death. In some of them there is an afterlife vibe as well, which gives a strange upliftment while still being sad at the same time.

Do you ever hear a song by Hammock and think of how much you wish it was the first time you heard it? Because every single song that this remarkable band creates is a masterpiece in itself. It's breathtakingly beautiful and it makes you question your life - makes you ask yourself if you're really living the life you want to live. Life is so short, and it's also very unfair. But there IS beauty in life...you've just got to look for it. I heard this song last month, and as I listen to it again, I desperately wish I'd never heard it before...just so I can experience the euphoria as if it were the first time. Thank you, Hammock. Thank you so freaking much.

There is a heaven, and a god. and God loves you more than anything on the earth. He created the moon and the stars so you could have light outside when it's night. He created the sun so you can see during the day. He sent his son to the cross so we could have eternal life with Him after death. He raised his son Jesus from the grave 3 days later so we can have freedom in Him. No matter what you've done, no matter where you've been, no matter who you are, Jesus loves you and nothing will ever change that.

I think we have seen the greatness of Hammock, and will forever hold it in our hearts and minds that they encounter the ethereal with such ease and awe in their works. The use of the chorale is something that is extremely undervalued in our society nowadays, and I can't thank Hammock enough for intertwining such beautiful sounds of instruments and machines with the gift of voice that we too possess. May we all search for mysterium and be ever-grateful for its pervasiveness in this life. Blessings to you Hammock!
