Candice, I literally think this album is part of me now. I've listened to it so often when thinking about happiness, friends, life, pain, and the afterlife. It is the most important album. This has been my first time listening to Hammock. It's as if Explosions in The Sky and Sigur Ros were two people that accidentally bumped into each other while walking under the most beautiful sunset you've ever seen and that moment created another universe that consisted of the most heart warming qualities from each. Truly heart touching music.

Introspection is an imploding treasure quest. You are water and energy waves. There are rich, eerie depths inside of you left for only you and you to traverse. No external entity should deprive you from accessing yourself. And as you move, may you shed light upon those close to you, I wish you grow, build together, empires! out of shards and breaking bones. Your eyes may look hard and tired with distaste, but you are in fact ecstatic by nature. A universe. It holds true. Everything is permitted and growth is personal. :) Love from Pune, India. 🇮🇳

"It is strange to be here. The mystery never leaves you alone. Behind your image, below your words, above your thoughts, the silence of another world waits. A world lives within you. No one else can bring you news of this inner world. Through our voices, we bring out sound from the mountain beneath our soul. Human presence is a creative and turbulent sacrament, a visible sign of invisible grace. Nowhere is there such intimate and frightening access to the mysterium. Friendship is the sweet grace that liberates us to approach, recognize, and inhabit this adventure.” -John O’Donohue

One wonderfully rainy day, chilly, inspiring kind of Georgia day and I was watching/listening to This Will Destroy You, Mono, Mogwai, late period The Church and Steve Kilby solo confections, Flying Saucer Attack, Sigur Ros, Echo and the Bunnymen (1 to 4 with live EP albums), Explosions in the Sky (love this group), Van Morrison “Hymns to the Silence” and “Astral Weeks” sound, and basically just a non melancholy post rock post punk post bombast scene, but quietly creative and contemplative day that turned into an all night exploration of bands that were new to me except Mogwai and the The Church as group and their solo albums. Hammock was a revelation. This experience became something of a perfect day with Hammock becoming a centerpiece to many favorites collections for study/writing/driving/talking/peaceful when necessary times. Brilliant. Hammock is nothing short of brilliant and pulsing with a musical life whose source is contemplation. This comment section is at 209 comments as of 2.14.21 and the people here are fans as well which makes this like a living room or parlor for friends gathered in conversation, reflection and peaceful merriment. I miss those nights of friends gathered and hanging out with music that is the moment. There are many moments in life with music being a part of the conversation as if the band members were there with us all. Hammock has that sense. Explosions in the Sky has that particular talent. This album of Mysterium is what meditation feels. Yeah, feels. Hammock as leaders in a genre is a band of hopes and wishes where, again with contemplation and meditation, is not only a backdrop and a canvas, they are a group I fell in love with from the first, and hove not stopped loving them with my being here only 4 years as a fan. I love being a music fan.

Life, people. It sometimes makes you crash, fall down so deep that you would want nothing but to fall deeper into that abyss. To end all of the torment of what it means to love someone that does not love you, to escape from the melancholic void that is grief for those who have left this world or the feeling that everything seems meaningless. But then, one day - you're getting a present from someone in your family. You start crying and hugging that loved one for showing how much they mean to you, and you feel alive again. And a few times after that - you're with your friends playing video games in your small apartment, everyone's snacking, laughing and whenever someone wins - they jump and pump their fists in pure joy. and you feel alive again. You receive a text a few days later from someone that cares about you and it makes your entire day. You think about that text message deeply and accept wholeheartedly the description of your beautiful sides that your loved one sent, from it, you let your confidence grow. and you feel alive again. One can fall deep into the abyss, but never so far that you can grow wings and ascend back to a beautiful life with swirling stars, blooming fields, sunsets and love. Hammock gave me those wings and keeps allowing me to soar in the sky that we call life. Words cannot describe how grateful I am for their existence. If it weren't so, I would not be here in this moment to write this youtube comment. Thank you, Andrew & Thank you, Marc. /Tristan Jakobsen, Sweden.

And sometimes, just when you've lost all faith in your own species, walked too far alone down too many crooked paths thru too many cold starless nights, and had the abyss stare too deeply into you... you unexpectedly read a comment like this, that blows over you like a midsummer wind, lifts the blanket-heavy shroud of fog, and just for a moment you look up and see the endless sky lit by the entire dancing Milky Way, and look to your sides and see that you are not alone, fellow travelers are closer than you think... and for that moment, the dissonance becomes resonance, and you smile, and shout across an entire ocean, "HELLO! AND THANK YOU!" -C from America

Hammock represents the connection between emotions and music. There is so much affecting music, but listening to this album, it just touches a special place in all of our hearts, minds, souls. I was laying on my basement floor, half drunk after the UFC fights, thinking and missing my Uncle Roddy. He was in his 40's, life of the party, and died in a fire. I miss him, along with so many others, everyday. Life it up. Life is impossible to predict. Love. Laugh. Live. Everyday. Talking things and people for granted is the most detrimental thing a human can do to itself. Use music. To the fullest. 🤘🏻
