I love your knot tying with explainations about each. clever rigging , going to try it with an additional perpendicular line on the stiiff leg then stake it to the ground on each side for no-swing in the wind. Great video!!!

This is genius! Two questions: 1. Can I use dynama instead of rope? 2. Could I use some other material than 2x4 for an A-frame? Maybe something shorter than 7' ? I'd like to know how light and small I could make this an attack a hammock from the A-frame to a door frame on any car

The best stuff on the planet would be wench cord line. Overkill. Smaller dynema would be even better. I just happend to have the rope. Door frame might bew a little low. Tie point for my hang needs to be about 6 feet up. Back door of a van or raised pickup would be great.

its better to just make a free standing pipe frame... Easier to pick, rigid top rail, less ropes. Its overengineered and not very simple, still takes a lot of place in transport.

Arent the 2x4s too long to carry? Any idea to control the transportation length to 5ft and below?

Hi! I admit I just throw them in the back of the pick up and let them stick out however I guess you could tie them to a roof rack but that's just me.

@@busseysgarage2485 haha ok, I'd like to keep my tonneau cover closed and I only have a 5.5 short bed

Yes they are long and stick out the back of my pickup. You could easily cut smaller lengths and sister them together with some eye bolts.

I d/n understand how the ABS pipe d/n fall-over, dropping you and hammock to ground.

Hi! The tie off point (Tree or other similar) must be as high as the ABS pipe on that end or yes you fall down.
