Honestly when you lose your car at that speed, there is not a lot you can do, other than pray yo not hit anything and not flip over... so he did the good thing by looking around for any danger and preparing for a big crash

You just missed the 911 spin on the beach in the old Top Gear clip! The one with the 6-Series (the Bangle one), XKR (1st gen) and 996 911 (Hammond at the wheel). Although to be fair the whole time they were on the beach they spun. Still, the aerial shot of the three drifts side by side with the 911 back first is iconic.
