Lowkey kinda glad we haven't gotten one yet, I feel like if it came out earlier it would suffered from the flaws the HC rex had; big goofy feet, bad glass eyes, blunt teeth etc..also, I hope they kill that annoying ratchet mouth joint gimmick that makes the jaw and the skull open at the same time. I HATE it. Mattel has this obsession with wanting their carnivores to open their mouths unnaturally wide...when that's not how mouths work.

Fun fact, the “ankle” of a Dinosaur is actually the joint right belly the knee. What you called ankle articulation is actually the toes TLDR, dinosaurs walk on their tippy toes

Really nice release by them. Only grip is that the arms should be much shorter.. honestly should have been one piece rather than the two pieces so it should have been accurate and more stubby lol

Tbf the Jurassic World carnotaurus does have longer arms than it's real life counterpart so at least the figure is accurate to it's source material.

It and every theropod in the line as far as I can tell also has pronated hands (palms facing ground) which no Bipedal Dinosaur had the ability to do.

This is definitely being added to the list, not only because Articulated Dinosaur figures are a massive need of mine, but also because.. ok fine Carnotaurus is my favorite dinosaurs, alongside Therazinosaurus. Really hoping I could get that and The Indominus Rex (if that one hasn’t been done yet).

Have you seen the upcoming Cyberzoic Carnotaurus yet? It seems like it will have a bit more of the articulation you were wanting with this one (torso, etc). I saw the prototype back in November, and man is it gorgeous. Also paleo accurate (including the skin detail from the 2021 paper). Creative Beast Studio has a pretty good track record with their figures (aside from minor qc here and there, but the great customer service makes up for it. See some of the prior Beasts of the Mesozoic stuff). That said I'm planning to pick this one up too, since most of my collection is Jurassic, and this is easily Mattel's best Carnotaurus figure so far, even beating out their original 2018 Fallen Kingdom one. One of the best in the HC in terms of screen likeness as well, and general quality. The Carnotaurus is one of my favorite dinosaurs, so like the more options the better.

So far I've avoided the Hammond collection, budgets being budgets I had to draw the line somewhere, but this along with the T-Rex are pretty tempting. On top of having a lot of nostalgia for 2000's Dinosaur it's just a slick looking figure. Curious when or if it'll release in the UK though, me personally I've not seen much Hammond Collection stuff in person. This guy, a T-Rex, Spinosaurus and Velociraptor would be my dream line-up for a shelf.

My biggest disappointment was that they could’ve easily added in torso articulation with a body size like that and the neck movement was limited from moving side to side on my copy.

I just got one at msrp. I was skeptical at the price until I brought it home and compared it to my three Ceratos, my Hiya Toys Kong and Hiya 2019 Godzilla. It's well worth that price at this size and level of detail. I was thinking of getting two so I could do a custom paint job and make him be Diablo from Primal Rage if Diablo were a Carnotaurus instead of a red T-Rex, but once I got him and compared him I am questioning whether I need two or not. I've got Hiya Ghidorah on the way and I plan on picking up many more Hiya Kaiju figures so maybe I should just stick with the one. Still might add a little red paint and some black for the claws and horns.

Fun video! Thank you! This is a pretty good Carnotaurus, oversized arms notwithstanding. Would love to repaint it in the 1994 "Demon" colour scheme -- unless Mattel wants to do a Retro Repaint with this mould, like they did with a number of other JP dinosaurs . . . (HINT, HINT, Mattel!)

Thanks for the excellent review, bummed the head can't twist into its biting position, I'm glad your reviews are popping more often in my searches even though I scroll for them anyways, thanks. Oh and I think for the money it's hand should be jointed instead of frozen, all jointed should be movable on the toy, also wished the upper and lower jaw moved separately, time to go target theu said they have 8 left even though I didn't see any on the 6th when I was there...

Carnotaurus was one of the my most favorite Dinosaur since i was a kid, so this one, Hammond Collection Fallen Kingdom Carnotaurus is welcome to add in my collection 😊. I not mind about the scale because i want to doing diorama to my Hammond Collection Fallen Kingdom Carnotaurus fight the Ultra Kaiju like SHF Gomora, Steven . So overall for me as Jurassic Park/Jurassic World fan, this one was among the best Hammond Collection Dinosaur EVER for this year, at least this carnivore have much better looking feets than others before, especially Hammond Collection Fallen Kingdom Carnotaurus is much better than Hammond Collection very first Jurassic Park T-Rex 🦖, Steven. Cannot wait to grab Hammond Collection Fallen Kingdom Carnotaurus soon, Dino-great video Steven, so Dino-fantastic 🤩🤗!
