Het werd vroeger altijd zo gedaan!
Het verschil tussen het elektronische alternatief en het effectief bewegen van de pedaal is immens groot!
Het latere elektronische alternatief heeft beperkingen qua reactie tijd, volume plus, volume min, aanhouden, duurtijd aanhouden, en vooral de manier waarop het "aanhouden" uitdooft / toeneemt.
De commando's om dit te besturen zitten mee in de muziek boeken, dit is een zeer intensief extra werk, de toets voor de crescendo commando's is de meest intensieve toets van de 105.
