Hampstead Ghost Walk

Marek Larwood goes on a Ghost Walk around Hampstead, taking in Church Row, the Spaniards, Hampstead Heath and the Flask Pub and trying to spot famous ghosts such as that of Highwayman Dick Turpin.

It is true that everywhere in Hampstead looks haunted or at least creepy. Even my brother's school looks quite spooky. He goes to William Ellis and i used to always be afraid of entering because it is so old and has a dark entrance.

A very interesting walk. spooky too. I remember the time I once got on a bus and paid for my fare with a fiver. I handed my money over to the lady bus driver and when she gave me my change I said "Thanks a lot". She suddenly looked really annoyed which made me feel a bit uncomfortable. After a few minutes of thinking about the awkward situation I realised that she might have thought I said " Thanks slut". That was about 25 years ago and it still haunts me.

I wish I had seen the ghost of George Michael. Poor George. Apparently he used to drink in 'The Flask' in the Archway to Highgate video so he might be haunting there.

This feels like the spookiest walk so far, what walk was scariest for you?

In terms of overall walks either this one or the Archway and Highgate one, but the scariest bit was the Temple Church where the Australian barmaid saw the floating head, and the grave just yards away. This was probably because it was completely deserted and felt quite eerie.
