Some people were unlucky to have seen the end credits of the final episode of St. Elsewhere (a medical drama that ran on NBC from 1982 to 1988), and it showed Mimsie the MTM kitten hooked up to a heart rate monitor (which beeps throughout the end credits rolling) and an IV drip. At the end of the end credits, Mimsie flatlines, but the flatline sound was SO LOUD and frightening, especially to someone with ASD and a cat lover.

If you guys think this ending is bad. The original idea was for the guy to be surgically attached to the queen being force to stare in her face forever with her blowing smoke into his. Essentially imagine a chain smoker, an alcoholic, or drug addict instead of their body being damage from their gross habits instead all of the consequences fall on you until your own organs fail or that person dies of old age. There’s nothing you can do but enjoy an front row view to all their disgusting and unhealthy habits that’s slowly killing you.

The horrifying part is when you realize that Oddworld is meant to be a quintology, with each game adding a new hero to the party (as well as each one having an Exodus apparently). Why is this horrifying? Because each game would have a bad ending, where not only Munch and Abe would get screwed... but so would each new hero. The fifth game would have Abe, Munch, and each of the other's getting messed up like this ending. Imagine THAT nightmare fuel.

Abe has been trophied to support the glukkons side instead the lack of support to save eggs and mudokons even the karma is low. so he is killed by the eggs apart form his head as his body was fleshed out. As for the doctor he killed munch to take the organs tor revive the female glukkon so he murdered him on a surgery and munch was helpless when abe was eaten apart from his head.

There is something ominous about heart rate monitors especially in darker subtexts. It's a weird fixation I have with this ending. I guess, for me it's because it adds an extra layer of vulnerability, Munch can't hide his terror even if he wanted to. It is often seen as symbolism of death or dying as it is for medicine and saving lives. And it is nice, more PG-13 way to get the notion across that the character is dead, rather than showing the corpse.

To be fair, if they're getting get you captured and harvested by attacking you and raising the alarm, they deserve to die. The bad endings always has such ungrateful characters. Like have you *seen* how much near death you need to do to save them!? Abe nearly dies in like 99% of all his games! Saving every character normally involves inhuman levels of luck, patience and tactical thinking, it's not just "touch and save" like other heroes in games. But no, cos you didn't nearly die, you're therefore a terrible person and must also die too. Honestly, being a hero is a terrible job...

This game even goes out it's way to tell you time and time again it won't end well if you don't start saving more of them through the shaman. I remember when I played this YEARS ago (FYI ever since this ended in ANY game I try to get 100% because I feel so fsaijfnas bout not saving everyone) but anyway I didn't know you had hidden mudokons to save or that there was an actual amount to save -- I saved all the fuzzles so when I saw this I was like WHAT? I SAVED YOU ALL. Then when it showed me the stats I was like oh. I didn't save all the muds but I was still pretty pissed I got angry fuzzles eventhough I saved them all.. I think Oddworld would've made it great with different endings for if you saved muds/fuzzles or not -- this one is BRILLIANT though, it's just so eerie and definately proves a point of quama/karma ahaha. I looove Oddworld.

You wanna know what really scares the audience? It's not when you show someone being cut in half by a chainsaw and you show the gore and the effects. It's when you DON'T show them. You need to show people the things that look horrific (the killer catching their victim and also the fact that they caught them with the chainsaw) but then DON'T show us what happens. Only give us the audio or background blood. Then cut to the aftermath (This part is optional) You wanna know why munch's death looks so terrible and horrific? It's because they DON'T show it. Instead, they let our *imagation* do the showing And our imagination is more powerful because it KNOWS US It will find the scariest outcome and give it to you SPECIFICALLY There could be 1000 people in a movie theater and they will all watch the same thing And because it's not directly scaring us it won't be as scary Lemme give you an example A murderer traps a man in a dentist's room He scared him in there because of his big machete He grabs him by the face and shoves him onto the chair used to remove cavities He uses the papoose to restraint the man from any movement Then after much struggling, the killer finds a device to help hold the mouth of a patient wide open He puts it on his victim and the victim squirms and yells at him to stop but it only sounds like "HOH! HE-EH!" (stop please) The killer finds a small tray filled with tools used to puncture teeth and pull them out The man struggles and squirms in every direction to try to break free but can't In his last attempt at freedom, he cries for help But nobody came All that we see is the back of the screaming man's chair as the door shuts behind him and clicks The sounds end. Later, the same killer walks out of that room covered in blood and one less cry baby to worry about Now compare that to The killer traps the same guy in that room Does the same thing But then he gets a drill and starts pulling out his teeth one by one So then you see and an ungodly amount of blood spewing from the guy's mouth and get onto the killer's clothes and listen to this guy screaming for an hour I know this is supposed to be scary but no one likes to be ear raped for such a long amount of time. Instead of being scared half, the audience will be annoyed Our imagination is scarier than any prop or fake blood will ever be. (That's not to say effects can't be scary. Those effects where someone pulls something out of their mouth or noses are absolutely disgusting and I'm here for it.) Nothing we will ever see on the screen will EVER match up to the horror our *minds* make for us.

That’s brilliant writing that a lot of horror movies nowadays are lacking. The last horror movie that caught my interest and that had brilliant writing imo was A Quiet Place: Day 1 prequel and I was both scared and was in tears at the end.

Still remember doing the bad ending just to see what happened, as I knew about the bad ending for rupturefarms & exodus. This was the one that freaked me out the most, especially when all you hear is that noise, if oddworld ever do shows or films, you can bet it’ll be nail biting good horror moments.

Me and my brother grinded this game when we were 9-10 years old and when we were at the finish line all we had to do was walk to the portal which was weird but we did it and got a cutscene We were weirded out by the fuzzles but then realized what was happening I literally could not look away and had my eyes glued to the screen as I watched a nightmare unfold right in front of my eyes Truth be told I had nightmares for DAYS and this is 1 of the 2 reasons I got therapy bruh The other reason was because of the “Racist Mario” video

I was 10 or 11 when this game came out on OG Xbox and it was one of the first games I had except Halo. I never got to the ending but just the parts I played creeped me out too much to want to keep playing. Real nightmare fuel

my god that was honestly scary, like idk the scary part was munch just screaming till his heart was dead got me. im just glad they didn't add any blood splat or something, then id have a hard time sleeping for tonight XD, but now that SoulStorm is coming i honestly don't mind if i see how scary and maybe gory it can be, if they do it that is. (just let it be rated M)

The Stuff of nightmares here. just the little balls with big teeth alone is nightmare fuel, the fact that if you don't save them they wreck your life. when I first saw glimpses of this scene I wrongly asumed the bad ending was you get eaten alive. but the full bad ending is somehow even worse. not only is the future doomed for so many but you get to see one of the main charecters have his lung harvested while he's alive. Torture upon murder, talk about scary as all get out! Talk about a terrorfying way to lose and be punished for failing to rescue certain critters. 0.0 makes me kind of happy I never played the game before and only recently learned about it. I'm more likely to handle Darked up stuff like this now more so than I could back then.
