I like how Hampton Hawes sounds, the way he plays his notes, producing such a distinctive, crystal clear sound that you can almost visualize his hands playing each key, it reminds me of a blend in between the robustness of Thelonious Monk and the subtlety of Bill Evans, two of the greatest ever, difficult, for a neophyte like me, to put into words. In any case, superb musicianship. Rest of the band, bass and drums, top notch as well.Thanks for posting.
