I know these videos are now two years old but I am new to pi-star and these have been a great help to me. Thanks

Thank you for this series. I know this was done a while back, but I have poured over and over these episodes. I received a frequency from our state coordinator, purchased a new Bridgecom repeater programmed to UHF (with MMDM), and have been setting it up on DMR. I wasn't even aware of pi-star until I received my repeater. I needed some help, and your series came through. Thank you again. Jim

An outstanding kick ass series! These are by far the most comprehensive videos on Pi-Star! Great job! I am running a ZumSpot - RPi w/ Nextion 3.5 Screen and a ZumSpot w/ 1.3" Oled screen.

This has been a great series. Easy to understand, and answers lots of questions. I wish this had been available when I set mine up.

I use the ZUMspot RPi Nextion 3.5 HotSpot with a RPi 3B+ and have used it for almost 2 years and it works great. I picked it up at Dayton and I mainly use it on DMR with my AnyTone D-878UV Plus. The audio is great and I have not had any problems on DMR. When I first got it I had audio problems with C4FM and after a couple of upgrades to Pi-Star it worked fine on C4FM. I have upgraded to Pi-Star v4.1.2, Dashboard 20201205, and ZUMspot Firmware v1.5.2 and all is good! I only program it for one Digital Mode at a time, even though the RPi 3B+ could probably handle it. I may build another HotSpot and dedicate it to C4FM. Happy New Year!!!

Had a problem with mine not connecting as well but it was from not entering the hotspot security. As if 12/2020 Brandmiester requires it to be there. I just wish that someone would have covered a little bit about that section instead of passing right over it... as you did. It's like no one knew what it was for so they ignored it.

Thank you so much for your reminder about the hotspot security! It took me several hours today troubleshooting my hotspot but nothing worked until I entered it!

Yep exactly.. I watched 4 of this guys vids to see what he said about the hotspot security, and then he never mentioned it at all...

I have a DVMega hotspot currently running FMR and am interested in running either DStar or fusion/WiresX or the version of that you can run through a hotspot I got that last year and am wondering how hard it is to configure the one hotspot with 2 modes at the same time could you please explain how I would do that thanks in advance

This is a great video on how to set it up. My problem is.. I got a functioning pi-star and a radio and a ham license.I have a reliable code plug that I have used on a net already but not a hot spot. What do I need to do to make it talk to the hat and pi? Is it as simple as just changing the tx and rx freq to match the hotspot and keeping everything else in the code plug the same when it comes to dmr? Idk where to go from here. Would love to key up but what is next? Hint.. Hint.. your next side video. I am still a newb. Feel like that last bit is missing

Awesome series.Thank you! I have a TGIF Junior on order and this will be extremely helpful for confirming the setup. Dumb question. I know these are 1 time slot hotspots. Does that mean I can only set up talk groups on one time slot (either 1 or 2), Or, does it mean I can only USE one time slot at a time (whichever time slot is associated with the talk group I select based on my DMR radio code plug, but the code plug entries for the hotspot can include talk groups on either time slot? Get the question?

New to HAM, studying for license. But been watching toms of videos. When it comes to this hotspot where does it get all the talk groups info from? Is it loaded from onto the TGIF from Robert? Or do you have to drop a code plug into it? Also if you built a pi-star, you would be the one to load all the talk groups? I've never heard qnyone talk about that part. Thanks

LOL; just watching your 4-part series on setting up pi-start and it's still current and relevant. My hotspot and radio have been inactive for the last couple of years. Just getting restarted and working through a short learning curve to re-familiarize myself with the pi, pi-star and my MMDVM. Seems to be working pretty good at this point. Next up is CPS software and programming my radio; the current code plug works just fine but will want to make some additions. Subscribed clicked! KI5CQG

Wasted my time as I wanted d-star setup. I have DMR and Yaesu working fine . I believe your title inferred that complete setup for all modes would be covered.
