Nice! You should only give whimsies and edible chews once a month and same with sprays, and maybe a few a week for treats. Anyways, amazing care!

POV : the one dislike is the person who only gives his /her hamster only one kind of food :) and doesn’t give the hamster treats

Hey I just want you to know milkbones have a preservative called BHA in them that causes cancer in dogs so just be really careful with them hamsters are much smaller then dogs so I just don’t want anything to happen to him ❤️ and btw I love all the knowledge you have on hamsters you obviously did a bunch of research so many more people need to be educating themselves on proper care
@rachelstrick55563 жыл бұрын
thank you so much for letting me know!! 💗 yeah, milk bones are definitely not healthy, which is why i give them extremely rarely. i try my best to stick with treats that are nutritious, such as fruits, veggies, seeds, etc. thank you for all your support 🥰

@@rachelstrick5556 You can find organic dog biscuits. Ones that just have oats and veggies/fruits in them where you can see the ingredients. I'd swap the Milkbones out for something like that. It's much safer and healthier so you could give them more often.

Hello, I need your help. I have a Syrian hamster. My cage is around 820 Square inches. It is a bin cage. I cut the top and put mesh so that she could breath easier. But she always tried climbing it. I don’t know what to do. She has so many toys, hides, bridges, 6 inches of bedding, 9 in wheel, sand bath. I’m very confused and need help.
@rachelstrick55563 жыл бұрын
hi!! i’m so sorry to hear that. i would recommend adding in a bit more bedding. if you currently use paper bedding, you can try mixing in a little bit of aspen, eco bedding, orchard grass hay, or a little section of eco earth coconut substrate. a variety of textures is extremely beneficial! if you don’t currently scatter feed, i would definitely recommend it. scatter feeding is extremely enriching and helps hamsters tap into their natural instincts by foraging for food. also, every couple of days, you can hide treats, or oat/wheat/millet sprays around the enclosure for her to find. it’s important for them to have little activities like that. i would also suggest getting her an 11 or 12 inch wheel, as that is the recommended size for syrians. additionally, female hamsters are always a bit more difficult to please. no matter what, they always seem to want to escape or explore. i believe this has to do with them being more hormonal and going into heat every four days. perhaps if my above suggestions do not work, i would consider an enclosure upgrade in the future. like i said, female hamsters are harder to please and generally require larger spaces. i hope i could help!! wishing you the best of luck

here’s a good article explaining the harmful impacts of shopping on amazon: www.greenamerica.org/blog/10-reasons-not-shop-amazon-prime it can be difficult to avoid amazon in today’s climate. however, i try my best to support local and/or small businesses. it’s much more ethical and environmentally friendly
