Hamtun Kraken H2 Dive Watch -- Epic Unboxing

Just got this dude in the mail, was home sick, so had time to do an unboxing for you
Pretty sweet dive watch...Nice titanium diver with ceramic bezel and lots of extras. definitely a bargain...Heck the leather case is worth a fair amount by itself and smells so good :)
At first I though of this as a desk-diver, but at 200M water resistance, and good lume on dial and bezel, I promote it to "Armature Diver" status

Another PSA! Check the screws in your bracelet to make sure they are tight...All mine were loose and I almost lost one!!

PSA. Just got word that 99% of the watches have shipped, so if you ordered one, you should be getting it soon :) Also, the ratcheting titanium clasps will follow some time in the future when all the issues have been worked out...Ross is a stickler for quality, so he is taking care of us. Must say I am anxiously awaiting this clasp ...I have that kind on the bracelet of my Certina and it's a life saver in warm weather!

Hey Daniel, It is a really good looking watch, I felt the dame way. That is why I bought 2 white ones and one black one :) I plan to do a give away for a white one for my 1000th subscriber milestone :) To answer your question, I don't think they plan a further release of these...They had a heck of a time filling the orders they had on Kickstarter and Indigogo. Apparently, Ross, went through hell these last few months getting everything pulled together. He definitely went above and beyond on this one!

Hi. I see you have both a white and black dial. Are the surrounds around the indices a darker colour on the white dial compared to on the black? I have the white dial and the indices look silver, but Ross said they were 'gun metal' on the white dial, not silver. Can you confirm?

They look to be the same on both models...I think they are that kind of darkish silver on both...I don't know if they are actually gun-metal per-se, but they are that kind of dark compared to what I consider regular or perhaps bright silver

Thanks! I am really enjoying it :) I decided to save money and get the NH35 movement as that is actually one of my favorite budget movements and I have tons of watches with sw200 and 2824 type movements. This way I could afford to get 3 watches, one in black and two in white. The price was so good that I plan to do a giveaway for my 1000th subscriber. Did you see Ross's email today about that?

Just received mine yesterday. Two comments as I am not a pro when it comes to watches 1) it's so light it almost feels like cheap plastic. Not sure if all titanium watches are like this but was expecting more heft 2) any suggestions for a thicker plastic diver strap to use with this watch?

Yeah, they do tend to be light...The joy of titanium watches is how even a large watch wears like a feather...I find it especially nice in the summer when I am sweating and the watch doesn't slide around. 2) Can't help you with plastic diver straps...I personally hate them :) For some reason they just bug me, not sure why.

I don't think the H2 is light at all! In fact, I think because of the heavy Seiko movement, the watch feels a little unbalanced and top-heavy. Then again, I am used to wearing a Citizen Promaster titanium quartz Air Diver, which is extremely light. I can hardly tell I have it on sometimes.
