Chuckled at calling out Nylea for being a giant bow-wielding god that doesn't have Reach. Great deck!

Interestingly, the same exact thing is also true of Oketra. (Though admittedly, Green is THE colour of Reach, so Nylea still comes out looking worse.)

That match 3 was clutch and funny. "But their deck can't be all lands, can it?" *proceeds to play out 5 more lands* "Well, they're certainly making it look like it." *furious ramp noises continue* "Alright, just a 25/25, no big deal."

Thanks for all the Brawl videos. I’m happy you are making good quality decks across many themes. I’ve tried several out myself and the are good decks. I hope this leads to more diversity in brawl commanders. Also, I still think Wizards match making sucks.

I see your hardline stance on The Ozolith remains in effect 😉
@jjsaturnob3 жыл бұрын
why does he disregard it? seems like a slam dunk
@LegenVD3 жыл бұрын
@@jjsaturnob I only like it in decks that have both counters and sacrifice synergies so we can enable it ourselves. This deck in particular is about critical mass, we need creatures to enable Hamza and payoffs to play afterwards, so the utility slots are very limited. Ozolith doesn't contribute towards our Hamza plan and can often be played around by the opponent. Not to mention this is Historic Brawl where artifact removal is more common than in other formats. If this were a 200 card format it would probably be in the deck, but there's a long list of cards I would much prefer. That doesn't mean there won't be situations where Ozolith could be useful, like when facing sweeper heavy decks, but those are matchups we are unlikely to win anyway and Ozolith probably won't make that much of a difference even if we draw it. I've had to write more about not including Ozolith in decks over the years than any other card, so it has become a bit of a meme. I also will gladly point out every time my opponent plays Ozolith and it doesn't end up doing anything relevant.

I honestly love legenvd's content. I think he's one of the best content creator in MTGA and I definitely like his videos by historic brawl, my favourite (and most other's people favourite) format. But, being all said, I don't think it's his cup of tea. He seems being used to competitive formats, when you optimize your deck for meta, think about matchups, try to predict opponent's next move and doing plays to win, not to just make big beautiful plays. And I miss that content. Maybe it's not that popular, but it's definitely worth making. (Sorry for my English)

Despite not even going close to HB( scrooging up 100 mythic wildcards and counting) I enjoy the content and play the miniature version with piles partially inspired in your videos. I found the experience of playing with what I open or draft instead of crafting more enjoyable.

Really happy to see you play this one since I also play Hamza. I ignored most of the X cost creatures in favor of more powerful +1/+1 counter cards and more removal/ramp, but your take might be better since I sometimes have trouble with drawing hands that are mana cost heavy.

Another great deck! Glad it featured some cards that were new to me, even though you made similiar green white counters decks in the past. The format is just great. I love the big beatle! spoiler: Also, the last game was very confusing. The poor opponent must have gotten really unlucky with their draws.
@jamesklingensmith75293 жыл бұрын
Their play lines were confusing as hell. Not fetching a mass bounce spell when you're likely to be facing down a gigantic board on the next turn seems unnecessarily greedy. And then bouncing Falconer instead of Champion and immediately dying from it was just sad, although it could just be a case of not realizing Champion has more text outside of gaining counters.

around 17:30, you opt to hold 1 open to pay 1 for a servo, but would be better to put 1 more into feral hydra so that the evolve trigger happens, and you get a 1/1 anyways. moot point since you won next turn but thought it was interesting :)

Colorless creatures are great, however I found Ulamog to be a little too inconsistent. After a couple removal spells or let alone a sweeper it quickly becomes uncastable.

Come on... the last game... that was unrealistic... a blue control player draws over 10 cards and could play them all for free and he still was beaten? That must be very bad luck... no other explanation here. If I am encounter blue players and they draw ten cards like that, it's game over every single time. They take at least four turns in a row or something like that.
