Free Soul: that’s an absolutely stupid point, Islam didn’t start with Mohamed, Islam (peace) is believed to have always been, since the dawn of time. We believe in Adam Moses Jesus Noah and Lott (lout), Allah also says that he sent down hundreds more that where not named, most of wich where misinterpreted and then formed the other religions we see now, we believe that indeed a prophet might have been sent to those aisian countries you’ve stated, you can’t just arrogantly say your religion is the only truth based on the fact that it is old, I find the way you says Islam was only 1400 years old and comes from a “pedophile prophet” very ignorant. As I’ve already said, Islam started from the dawn of time, with Adam and Eve, way before your guru’s came along
@youssef52634 жыл бұрын
Free Soul: on the topic of pedophile prophet, getting married at a young age was normal in those times, just to prove my point, the legal age to get married 100 years ago in Britain (let alone 1400) was 7, the prophet married her to save her from i slavery from the pagan Arabs who persecuted her from a young age. Your manner of speech is very offensive, I will however not respond in the same way, I hope you come to your senses and actually do research on things you don’t understand, rather than cherry pick things and talk about them with little to no contextual understanding.

@zacneymar8 жыл бұрын
not necessarily pure evidence since we still rely upon faith cos there's not evidence for the angels yet we believe but the evidence we do have is strong enough to give us a platform higher than other religions
@irfanjusic57178 жыл бұрын

@zacneymar8 жыл бұрын
Irfan Jusic you've utterly missed the point bro/sis,if the quran said Angels are true, can you find evidence in the natural world that can direct us to them? No hence why the belief has to come and there is many things in islam where we don't why we do it but through the submission to allah and the belief in him we do. I can give many examples.
@zacneymar8 жыл бұрын
Irfan Jusic or for example the proof of the hellfire or jannah, we lack the natural evidence for it but the quran bring logical evidences and proofs to verify it is from god then..... If Quran is proven to be the word of God then what ever is mentioned pertaining the unseen world it is truth. Prophet saw, He have seen Angel Gebrail so did many sahabas. I do not need to see Angels to believe and to know they are real. If God says they are real then they are. Unless a person does not think that Quran is from Allah. Then that kind of person needs to analyse the scripture if it indeed the Quran is the word of God. To us muslims it is easy to prove. The proof alone is not enough for those who are ignorant. Guidance from Allah is needed.

@SoldierOfTheDeen8 жыл бұрын
Gurtaj Sodhi //there are many verses in quran which says to kill non believers , beat women // They say it is better to be ignorant than to be three times ignorant, because when you're ignorant you're just ignorant but when you're three times ignorant you're ignorant, you're ignorant about the fact that you are ignorant and you're ignorant about the fact that the person who taught you is also ignorant. If you really think that Islam has no framework with guidelines concerning warfare and domestic issues and that it promotes anarchy and chaos then you need to get educated //unscientific verses like semen come from between backbone and ribs.// You seem to be suffering from an extreme case of intellectual constipation. Concerning what you're referring to then here you go: www.hamzatzortzis.com/q-a/is-the-qur%E2%80%99an-inaccurate-concerning-where-sperm-comes-from/ However, here's some advice: understand what science is and what the Quran is before commenting you dimwitted troglodyte. The Quran is composed of ayat (signs) which are meant to awaken the Fitrah, not give us a lesson on physical phenomena. When the companions heard the Quran they were humbled and they reflected upon their purpose of life (i.e to worship God alone through submission to Him in our everyday lives), they didn't say "oh I didn't know that!". Secondly, you're romanticised and perverted understanding of science as being some sort of linear accumulation of knowledge is not only juvenile but has been debunked for a few decades now. Science works in paradigms. Study the works of Thomas Kuhn to understand.

I've listened to this carefully, and the sikh was severely outmatched. Hamza brought up some interesting points and asked some relevant questions, that the sikh couldn't answer. Now that's not to say that his religion doesn't have those answers, it may just be this person not having the required information/insights. But as he's there representing his faith, it looks kinda bad to be honest. I could sense him getting frustrated a bit towards the end, which comes from a place of inability. Hamza cornered him and he had trouble finding a way out. Like Hamza, I do appreciate his preachings about experiences and such, but Hamza is absolutely right in saying that there has to be (for most people at least) something more than that. The reason for this should be obvious; as the sikh can have his own experiences that affirm sikhism, the christian experiences the holy ghost, the hindu experiences this, the muslim experiences that, and so on. An outsider, hearing them all out, is going to remain in doubt as to whose experience ultimately is pointing towards truth. This is problematic especially because all of the conclusions of these experiences exclude one another. So for instance, the christian will, in the final analysis, claim that whatever path the sikh is following, will not lead him to salvation, as the christian beliefs differ from sikhi beliefs. So regardless of their lovely experiences and beautiful preachings, and I don't mean that sarcastically, but those aside: how does the outsider know which underlying truth-claim (that comes out of those experiences as a conclusion) would be true? They can't both be true at the same time as they contradict and exclude eachother. So they're either going to be both false, or one of them could be correct. Just them telling you about their personal experiences won't do as such, nomatter how convinced they are of them. They're going to have to explain to the outsider, rationally, why their respective beliefs would make more sense than others. The sikh in the video is actually trying to get rid of that exact aspect of the discussion: he doesn't want to talk about that. It's not so much about rational argumentation, as it is about true experiences, he claims. Well, the hindu can say the same, the christian can claim the exact same thing. That doesn't get us anywhere. So when you say: "this person here is my spiritual and moral leader because I believe he is a good person, and this person is know telling me what the divine wants of me", then that's nice and all, but unless you can explain to the outsider, rationally, why they should simply accept that, without going on and on about some experience that YOU may have had, then there's nothing to differentiate your beliefs, or your guru, from the beliefs of somebody else, or their shaman, or whatever. And so we leave that aside, we don't accept that. That's not us (muslims) questioning your sincerity, and we aren't putting down your spiritual leaders, it's merely a rejection of the criterion that is used, and specifically a problem we find in certain other criteria that are not there, that we think SHOULD also be present, for us to at least consider it.
@XaeeD8 жыл бұрын
"You have not at once consider what their holy book says but blabbered on what the discussion is about." Well that's what my comment was about: the video. Not about "their scriptures". "Sikhs do not believe in submission to god but do a much higher connection with god, its dharmic faith not submissive." Ok.. "However they follow orders/revelation from their guru that makes them sin free" Following the guru makes you enter paradise, got it! "..so whats wrong with what they do" I don't know, wasn't discussing sikh beliefs. Was just commenting on the video.. "And do you know why you worship according to quran - i will tell you" Thank you for asking me that question and then answering it for me, lol. "And how are you a better then them?" I never claimed that I was better than anybody. What an empty reply..

He is following fitra, but the issue is that without a real objective source from ALLAH you won't be able to protect this fitra or clean it since you won't be able to know what's right and wrong objectively. That's why fitra is not enough for him, he have to believe in Gurus sources but the issue is that Gurus experiences cannot be confirmed if it''s from ALLAH or not since they don't try to prove it so even if it's teachings are nice and have many truths they still don't have a "filter, a real solid source from ALLAH to back up their belief".

You can check it, study it, test it, confront the challenges that it provide.It claim to be from an all knowledgeable entity that created us, it provide arguments for that claim, it provide challenges. Accepting it or denying it after understanding it is another question.

I don't get how muslims cant see this perspective from a non muslims viewpoint, obviously Sikhism is a better religion for everyone getting along together despite having different beliefs.

I'm personally very pleased to see that the human beings of today have started to give so much importance to the truth!! we are becoming a race of seekers!! up until a few decades ago nobody cared to talk about God and truth with so much passion!! even though this is a debate of sorts..at least an immense amount of energy is being spent towards seeking the truth! in the past this was never the case..people only debated with such passion about things like political, sports, economy,etc. with gods grace..at least the focus of the human race is shifting to substantial questions!! when you seek the truth the truth finds a way to reach you!!

As someone who has had patience with the Sikh guy in terms of conduct, reasoning and method of preaching, appreciating his style and listening intently to his arguement and even being just and fair in the face of my own Sikh friends who heavily criticize him. He's disappoint me and many I believe in this video, he came across as 3 things : 1. Arrogant - he assumed he knew the argument and questions he would face and hence told the opposing side to finish quickly because he gets it and even stopped the other brother many time. Rude - this was sad to see that he would come across as behaving rudely to someone who clearly respected him enough to say he knew nothing about the religion so teach me. Instead he rudely stated he didn't know what hamza said so drop it and get back to the point, which I believe was his frustration showing. 3 - irrational..he has prided himself on knowing philosophy and understand the rational thinking process yet takes the biggest leap of faith when it comes to arriving at the truth. The most clearly subjective and experiential argument which he couldn't defend in my opinion and then the bad qualities came out. everything he said could've been said by anybody basically and exclusivity would be thrown out of the window so why choose his Methodology ? I'm very disappointed in his conduct the most though, unfortunately he came across over confident, thought he was well equipped and ultimately couldn't address the points or answer the questions. My personal opinion.

the proof is to connect to god through meditation. try and disprove it tell us it does not work you can do with in them realm of islam too. the beauty of sikhi is that you dont have to change faith at all. this principle would lead us too a more peacefull place in our mind and world
@Mw2ManDeMz8 жыл бұрын
That's literally the dumbest thing I've ever heard. If everyone can connect through God in their own religion, it doesn't prove Sikhism is true. Sikhism is one of the weakest religions out there, clear to any non Sikh that it came after Islam and Hinduism from which it was heavily influenced. The ideology of Sikhism is so weak that I can sit down and meditate, feel constipated but misinterpret that feeling and say I connected to God. That's it, the only proof of Sikhism, because you felt it, there is no rationality, no intellect behind it. Your whole religion is based upon a placebo, you meditate and listen to music and say you connect to God. Music has always been an immensely strong influencing factor upon emotion and meditation wasn't invented by your Guru either. Your guru is just a pacifist liar, you're so blinded by your warped illogical way of thinking that nothing anyone says will open your mind. You don't even want to know the truth, you just want Sikhism to be the truth. You can be connecting to demons, to ghosts, to aliens, to a Flying Spaghetti Monster, to your ancestors, to animal spirits, to Satan himself... You prove to me that what you feel during meditation isn't actually one of those things that isn't pretending to be God. You can't because your religion has no logical basis, there's no boundary to prove anything at all.
@jamesfreeman54598 жыл бұрын
You may make some relevant points . However the way you addressing the Sikh it's very rude and offensive and not the correct Islamic way to address someone
