The rest of the verse continues "And when you have brought them low, bind your prisoners rigorously.", although as an arab i feel this is a week translation, but it tells us to stop war right after we have power over our enemies??? why is that? it is cause we do not wanna kill people, we only entered war as a last resort. So when we are strong we stop fighting and do not continue fighting. Islam is not a terrorist religion.

The verse says "If you meet the disbelievers chop their heads". As you know, this is only in a legitamate war. And since we are in war, chopping the heads is done since it is the less pain for our enemies, chop their heads is so they die easy and without pain.

Muslim Bro/Sis - my recomendation is that we stop responding to the closed minded people that are writing these comments. Non-Muslims - (that say negative things about Islam) go to your nearest Masjid and see how you are treated and how muslims act. You will find that we have great respect for non-muslims and we are very friendly people.

@irishxxkelt The perfection here means a spiritual one. What the verse is saying is that knowledge is not what matters! The teacher or master is higher in knowledge than his student. But the student can be as high as his teacher, or even higher, by being a true 'MUSHLAM' or Muslim, a spiritually perfect and well-disciplined person!

@Itchy2000uk The verse limiting the number of wives to 4 was revealed after the Prophet (PBUH) had already married all his wives. Muslims who had more than 4 wives had to divorce some of their wives, but the Prophet was excepted from that because his wives are not allowed to marry anyone else after him, so if he divorced them, they wouldn't be able to remarry.

On September 9, 2001, UCLA’s Al-Talib magazine co-sponsored a benefit dinner titled “Justice for Imam Jamil Al-Amin” (a convicted cop-killer formerly known as H. Rap Brown) at UC Irvine. Among the speakers at this benefit was Sheikh Hamza Yusuf, who spoke about the fate he foresaw for America: "…. This country [America] unfortunately has a great, a great tribulation coming to it. And much of it is already here, yet people are too to illiterate to read the writing on the wall.”

Call unto the way of thy Lord with wisdom and fair exhortation, and reason with them in the better way. Lo! thy Lord is Best Aware of him who strayeth from His way, and He is best aware of those who go aright. (The Holy Quran 16:125) Lo! @Itchy2000uk 3) No they can't. When the Prophet (PBUH) explained that verse you refer to in Quran he said that such beating should be symbolic, such that it doesn't leave a mark or any pain, and that it should be using something not bigger than a "meswak" (a small branch from a tree that is still widely used as a toothbrush by Muslims, usually 4 or 5" long). Also, he said that the good among his people won't resort to this.

Those people I assume NON MUSLIMS commenting here are either ignorant of what Islam really is or they read the newspaper and watch tv too much. What I suggest you to do people, is go and find out the facts before you leave your shitty comments. And these facts I suggest you find from religious scholars or REALIABLE websites. I am NOT a muslim either BUT I respect this religion and all religions and ISLAM is really a religion of peace. Get your facts right.

@Itchy2000uk Had you bothered to read the reporter's commentary on this hadith you'd have found that it's "munkar" (denounced). Hadith is a sophisticated science, and not all hadith collections contain just authentic hadiths. Many contain hadiths with different degrees of authenticity (or inauthenticity), where the reporter always adds his/her verdict according to many factors. The commentary on this particular hadith says that the hadith is denounced due to problems in its chain of (cont.)
@gammal113 жыл бұрын
@Itchy2000uk That's an incomplete and incorrect hadith. I'll assume that you didn't change it yourself and simply found it somewhere in this form. When A'isha said that, she wasn't talking to the Prophet (PBUH). She was correcting some of the Prophet's companions, after his death, when they misunderstood a matter relating to interrupting someone's prayer. The correct hadith has a completely different meaning. If you need to know more, I can provide a translation from both Bukhari & Muslim.
