True.. Even world threw bitter situations and experiences at him, still HJP character did not turn bitter or throw back bitterness to the world. Rather he became more giving, more forgiving, more selfless.. and puts a smile to hide his pain and sadness and moves on with life... WOW.. What a character :)... maybe that's y even when he smiles we feel a certain pain.. Also maybe its the other way round, second lead gets the girl and the main lead is HJP because the writer should have loved this character to create such a character arc.

Haha... maybe it was all poor writing or I was just blindly hopeful :)

The best thing about this drama is that Kim Seonho really outshined every other actor. His acting is top notch, every scene was meaningful, emotional or funny. Although I didn’t like how the show went I’m glad to have discovered such an amazing actor!

The absurdity of this story is unbelievable I mean I get that they wanted us to understand that Dosan is the one but they didn't have to do Jipyeong like that especially disqualifying the letters and the memories they had together ,so cheap. When he said I'm not the Dosan from the letters I was so done with the show already but that moment I knew this drama isn't worth all the time I spent on it the least Dalmi could do was telling him that he was her first love and he was the Dosan from the letters bcz it's his letters his fckin words and thoughts .this show was mehh and the only thing that mattered all along was Jipyeong I'm so happy I met this incredible character and this terrific actor.

I so agree! I can’t bring myself to watch the last two episodes. It started out so great, I thought this show would be part of my top kdramas if I just based it on that amazing pilot. Turns out it became the most disappointing series for me. The writers seem to have gotten lazy midway. But one good thing that came out of that show is that many came to know Kim Seon Ho. So happy for his success!

They really aimed for an DoDal ending considering both are top tier Hallyu stars. What they didnt anticipate was how SeonHo would put so much soul into his character Han Ji Pyeong. That despite painting him negatively in so many scenarios. Jipyeong came out realistic, grounded and relatable. Worse, he came out well-loved. The producers could have chosen Ji Pyeong, broken all expectations and this could have been the best KDrama in 2020.

The main point of contention here is the fact that they created such a beautiful amd poignant backstory for ji pyeong as a self-made man and their history with the letters, only to be invalidated in the end just because it has been planned to be DoDal from the start? If this were the case, then they should have written more redeeming qualities for DoSan and not force it down our throats that DoSan and DalMi were fated together right from the start. You can't expect viewers to just accept the choice based on the sole reason that the writer intended it to be like that. The writer lacked the time to elaborate on the points that should have shown how DalMi arrived at her decision. This was what was lacking in this story's narrative.

@@rhonaavellana2457 No. Why are you expecting the letters to be the the thing for a HaDal endgame? I'll try to debunk the debunk the HaDal theory fairly. Please do point out any mistakes- 1. The letters are written by the younger Han(Nam Da Reum) who's significantly different from the adult(Kim SeonHo). 2. His connection with Dal Mi is mostly shown through Dal Mi not through the letters. Most of the things he did were because of Grandma until the time he started to get jealous. Ya, he didn't realise his feelings sooner but it's definitely not like he unknowingly loved her in the 15 years. It's definitely started through jealousy. 2. The letters healed him as a kid indeed. But, the letters were more important to Dal Mi than it was to him. She held in to those for 15 years. But, he forgot about it in those years and suddenly remembered about them when he unknowingly saw her. 3. This point is very important,I guess. Dal Mi unknowingly started to fall in love with the original Do San. Many think that her liking 'big hands' is like a fetish but they showed us why she said so. His hands reassured her at the networking party.Ya, Han helped Do San at the networking party too. But they both had a falling out because he's kind of too irritated with his overboard harshness. Ya, truth could be harsh but doesn't means you have to say it in a harsh way. The way he speaks to the SamSan boys and Dal Mi is very much different on multiple occasions. Except the time where he helped them from developers trying to steal their technology, he helped the boys mostly because of Dal Mi only. Do San didn't like the thing not because of the Dal Mi thing, it's because Han was just doing charity for Dal Mi. 4. About Dal Mi falling in love with the real Do San, I'll try to prove it. When she sees the the letters' writing being similar to Han's writing, she feels nervous because she hoped it to not to be what she started suspecting at that time. The unofficial end of HaDal was actually at the extra credits scene of ep.7 where she Grandma and to choose between the two. I know many of you would say that she would still pick the older one bit what happened now? Well, the 'kiss' happened. Remember she also said about Do San's actions as 'heart fluttering'. To prove that this choice of hers isn't bad, I'll take 2 more dramas as examples. Ex.1- Strong Woman Do Bong Soon. Here she's in a one sided love with Gook Doo at similar ages to Dal Mi (middle school, I guess). Ya, there's no letters and imposter Do San (upto reaching SandBox. He's the real Do San since quite a time). What happened to Bong Soon? Got closer to Min Min😁 Ex.2- Dr. Romantic 1. The FL was apparently in a relationship when the ML kissed her in ep.1. She was slightly swayed by that. Though her partner was cheating on her that time, she didn't knew of it anyways and never did know about it.

Much of what you said here are assumptions on the part of the viewers, not as a direct result of the writing itself. Your example from Strong Girl Do Bong Soon is good but in that series, you will see the clear unfolding of events of how MinMin won her heart. Moreover, Bong Soon acknowledges and treasures her memories with Gook Doo, unlike DalMi who just put those memories aside. She didnt even waver at the fact that Ji Pyeong was, indeed, the real writer of the letters. The story banked so much on the history that was established by the letters, yet they amounted to nothing when the real writer was revealed. And what was her reason? Coz DoSan had big hands. So yeah, team Good Boy viewers like us find that illogical and weak reasoning. But again, to each his own. i just had to point out that in the end, it does not matter who she chose, it's just that DoSan's character was poorly written.

The ep. 7's extra credits scene's main point was that, not that she would pick Han as he was the writer of the letters. And Han is the writer of those letters. He's also the part of Do San of the letters who is lonely, wants to play Go Stop. But, he's not the Do San of the letters who loved her like she did back then. While Dal Mi loved him so strongly for 15 years to prevent any other person stealing that place, Han wasn't even bothered. Now again, I'm not trying to make Han look bad or something but Do San was too selfless towards her. He just didn't fell in love with her at the networking party on first sight. He decided to make her happy after the party, in the cast or maybe when they stopped by the river bank where he explained machine learning. Technically, she didn't put them aside. It's more like she preferred her memories with Do San than those of the letters. It's not really wrong. Han too is a good person. Just his bad luck. Dal did get confused after the truth reveal but she was never swayed even slightly indeed. Because she already low key feel for the'real' Nam Do San. So, it's not wrong, in my opinion. You got the 'big hands' thing completely ring. She liked Do San's hands not just because they're 'big', they showed it in ep.8 at the beginning itself. It's because those big hands reassured her at the networking party. Watch that bit again. You'll get what I meant here, hopefully. Stop downplaying Do San to justify your looking towards Han. It's understandable why you like the SL more, I can't argue that you must like the ML because it's your own choice. But twisting the plot to justify your frustration ain't right either.

He said that I didn't try to find you and dosan just after reading those letters stood up for you!!! Like seriously that wasn't the end or closure we wanted and the character needed!!! Frankly I didn't like the last episode except for the scene between ms. Choi and ji pyeong I literally ended the episode by only skipping 10 secs till the end.

My heart is still breaking for this dream couple. Their story got a LOT of potential. It could be one of the greatest love stories in kdrama history but they wasted it for what, for those BIG hands. It still doesn't make any sense to me on how Dalmi's character just seems to forget about the letters. I mean, what happened when you said that "I'd still choose the DS from 15 yrs ago?". Anyways, the drama is already over but I will never be satisfied with the ending. I just hope that Seon Ho and Suzy will act in a better drama again in the future.

Dosan, 27, has many lacking qualities (messy, zero biz sense, will resort to violence) as the genius hero. Nam Joo Hyuk is casted because once he steps out of this awkward exterior, he becomes the heartthrob and hotshot. Dalmi, 27, also has lacking qualities (lost, jealous, needy, doesn’t know a thing about business) as the resilient heroine. Who better than Suzy to play this role, a beautiful trophy. Dream couple from rags to riches in business and in love in 3 years. To narrate how two pre-cut diamonds come together requires a matchmaker. Ji Pyeong is that bridge to happiness for the clueless two. How else can this so called third wheel thrown into a love triangle be so gallant, wise, objective, and not needing love (practically has to stay inside his wall until the match made in heaven is a done deal). When JP needs to voice out to DM and DS why they are meant to be together and needed to reunite, I know then and there that he is the match-making narrator. JP gives the story momentum to move the plot in the right direction. He also has moving storyline with Dalmi’s grandma. Kim Seon Ho who plays JP makes his scenes with DM and the grandma so heart wrenching. His performance is not to be missed.

The problem with your theory is that she met JP first and Had the unforgettable history, so much so that she turned down all suitors for 15 years because of him. The only reason Dosan had a chance is he schemed in under her screening process by claiming to be the dosan of the letters. Just meeting her in any situation or setting and trying to get close to her would have been met with the same rejection she gave guys for 15 years. So A. there is never any way she would have to see him as a uncut diamond. She would see him as he was. A stupid technically gifted programmer. Someone so incredibly stupid that she would puke watching him stuff his pockets with the free candy and giggling like a elementary school kid at a desk that goes up and down. Or a fool that cant tell he is giving away his tech to people he thought were investors.

We all are sad that Han Ji-pyeong didn't received love in the series but in reality KIM SEON-HO received numerous love and was recognized world-wide for his best acting skills and efforts whatever the storyline was eventually it turned out very good for my oppa in reality. I even watched 2days1night bcoz of kim seon-ho and he is now trending in korea. SEON-HO OPPA SARANGHAE❤ P.S. I really recommend watching the drama you will fall in love with Kim Seon-ho💕

Drama is over with happy ending but still I felt the pain for Pak Han . I think the writers have already finished writing the story and ending before they shoot this. But it still doesn't make sense. I thought the love story revolved around the letters and the Nam Do San 15 years ago. They keep on mentioning it in the earlier episodes but what happened? Dalmi forgot about it and still chooses NDS that she only met a for a short time! Watched this show bcs of NJH but I really want Dalmi to end up with JiPyeong 😭😭

Actually, some said that PHR initally planned Jipyeong to end up with Dalmi. Read the interview of KSH on Esquire. He said that he thinks that there might be a twist on Ep. 15. He hasn't read the script yet during that time. Some said that SOOP Management didn't expect the shipping wars and they told the writers to make it so that DM and DS end up together. They didn't like the shipping wars and KSH gaining all the favors and popularity.

Thank you for the great video!! This drama had so much potential to be one of the best.. but unfortunately it goes down to my list with dramas that their ending didn't make sense alongside with Moonlovers, The memories of Alhambra (my worst ever) and Cheese in the trap. At least with Start Up we got a very interesting character to remember and KSH's talent finally got recognized, so maybe we will get to watch him in a good drama as main lead soon.

Every other drama needs to have a senseless childhood connection between the main couple. But here when we finally got a reasonable childhood connection, they didn't end up being a couple. Sometimes I really get disappointed with some Kdrama couples. It's not bout who gets the girl. 1st of all she ain't a trophy that someone ll win and become the main lead and 2nd every character should have an individuality. Han Ji pyeong and seo dal mi had amazing character development but Nam do San belittled his character by making 'dal mi' his dream. And during the last few episodes han Ji pyeong almost disappeared from the drama. 😶🙁

This drama had SOOO MUCH potential. The writers wasted it and I truly hope that they see the response from the audience. No hard feelings because I literally stopped watching after episode 10, but sloppy writing needs to be called out. If they did it to service NJH fans then I challenge their credibility as true writers who service the plot and story rather than who has the bigger fan-base. I mean they could have made NJH Mr. Han’s character and have them be end goal if it’s a fan base focus; because he had the better character arc. This is not a matter of who is attractive as an actor and who looks good with Suzy. I honestly could not give a rip. The story just went downhill with all the lead ups that never went anywhere. Disappointing.
