I've tried this mask a couple of times before and definitely saw a difference. I'm 50, have super oily skin and still break out like a 13 year old. I liked these masks! everything was just a little higher. Lasted for a couple of days, so was good for a special occassion but these were just too pricey so i stopped. Some day, life will be normal and I'll be able to get facials again

Your skin is already beautiful! Thank you for the video. Very helpful! I'm waffling about opening my Hanacare facial package. What I have noted again and again is that 20 - 30 year olds are prevalant on all the Before and After Hanacare videos - which is 100% unconvincing. At 20 or 30 years old how useful can a anti-aging skin care possibly be? Gimmick indeed. The only thing I've done that tightens my skin successfully is Raidiese injections @$1K and these only last for 4 months!

So... I had a great result! I researched after seeing your video and found “Sodium Silicate is an inorganic salt.. used in skin care, hair coloring, shaving, bath, eye makeup and oral hygiene products.” Apparently this stuff is in many products we already use. It's what provides the lifting result, which is exactly what I got in my neck area that's just began forming crepey skin. It is smoothed out for 3 days now and I cried happy tears! Too expensive but I will definitely use it again before my wedding or other event.

I think what many women dont seem to consider is age. I'm not a 20 something but I can say that products that worked on my skin at 20 or 30 something DO NOT work the same at 50. I'm suspicious when younger women swear by these products and older women's B&A results are completely null. Just sayin

Yikes! Thanks for taking one for the team. I have one of these at home that I purchased a year ago. I’ve always been afraid to use it. I may give this to my daughter. Angie, I recently started using The Ordinary azelaic acid suspension and it has made such a difference in my skin. It took about 4 days to build up to using it twice a day (slight stinging sensation). It reduces redness, makes my skin smoother (no more little bumps on my cheeks) and, overall, my face looks more even toned. I do have 4% aa in my Curology scrip but this percentage has been a game changer for me.

Angie, you rock! Thank you for looking out for us! Bless your heart how you make yourself a guinea pig over and over (for our benefit). I love how you look at the science of things. The thing with pubchem, or at least your analysis, that rubs me the wrong way is a lot of things in skincare are "irritants" and "health hazards" - a quick search shows sodium lauryl sulfate and salicylic acid with these same warnings. I'm glad you called your dad to double check! I wish there was a reputable, free website for cosmetic ingredients when they are used in very small amounts and combined with stabilizers, etc. Thanks to you, your time, and your research, though, I know the best of the best for vitamin C and retinol!

Angie - I’ve recently used a product that is similar to this but actually works and does what it says. It’s called the My perfect facial, by the My perfect cosmetics company. You get either a 5 treatment or 10 treatment pack and is cheaper than this product. I have normal to dry skin but makes my skin wonderful, and always feels soft and smooth after. It even comes with its own collegan soak moisturiser. Would love you to try it and perhaps review. Oh and a tip if it itches a little. I find gently pressing my nails into the area helps stop this. The itching is due to increased blood circulation X

I used this during the hype a few years ago. The tightening is temporary and for me just ok but I don’t really have wrinkles to address. Really best if you have a big event coming up and want to save money on a salon tightening treatment. The benefit I had was for my constantly clogged pores and cystic acne as this brought sebum to the surface faster. I bought this as a small set of 4 think and used once a week. Have I rebought, no. I did determine my skincare routine needed to change and could be helped with over the counter items. I have now started to use AHA/BHA toners, retionoid and vitamin c products.

Hi Angie - thanks so much for using your beautiful face to test out that HORRIBLE PRODUCT HanaCure. It is sad that people really don't care about the integrity of their product and the damage that it can do. I was looking at a mask that came up in an ad, and thought " Maybe you should research this". I googled it & wound up here with a different product. However, it was a great reminder of exactly what you showed us. They know that sometimes we just "hope" so much that there is something - that we forget about the "Hidden Persuaders" of advertising! (that was a book I had to read in 1968!!!!! ) I am glad that your skin is feeling better & I appreciate you sharing the alternatives with us. Blessings

Great informative video! I definitely won't use this product. Unfortunately, I already had used the Hana Gingseng (mask), which is possibly made by the same company but it comes in a larger jar that you can order online for about $34. This mask tightened my face so much and left it dry after peeling it off which devoided my face of all moisture. Needless to say that I won't be using that product anymore! Thank you!

Dr LeWinn had a very, very similar product many, many years ago. I cannot say whether it contained that particular ingredient you detailed. It consisted of a jar of powder, activator, brush, etc..so there were many applications in one purchase. Ten I think. It was incredibly itchy as it set, pulled really tightly, definately zombie-fying .....but it worked a treat, especially on the forehead, nasal labial folds and the neck. No cummulative effect, but so great before you went out somewhere special. The effect lasted for hours and foundation did not diminish the 'lifting' and 'firming' effects. It disappeared from pharmacies within a few years.....but that was many, many years ago now. Over 25 yrs to be exact !!!! How time flies 😃
