U.S. President John F. Kennedy in Germany on June 25th 1963. After two days in Cologne and Bonn, Kennedy leaves the provisional West-German Capitol for a visit to U.S. Army Airbase Hanau in the State of Hessen. The Commander in Chief is welcomed by thounsands of G.I.s and their families. After a visist in nearby Frankfurt, the next location of his Germany tour was Berlin, (links below). I was in the US Army stationed in Ankara, Turkey when Kennedy was in Germany in June 1963. I got there in November 1962 and shipped out back to the states in May 1964, We heard about it and I saw some new reels on it later at the Cinema in Turkey. Looking at it now is emotional since I remember how tense things were back then in Europe and of course in Turkey. I was in Turkey when he was killed in November 1963.

Kennedy was a very handsome man, probably the most attractive looking president the US ever had. He was also a highly educated and courageous man. The remastering of this film was also well executed, particularly the film’s colorisation and video editing.
