July 2020　Summer in Japan lasts from June to August and is usually a very hot season.
In cities and towns across the country, floats are paraded, people get kitted out in their colourful yukata food stalls cram the streets, fireworks explode.
In late July and August, fireworks dazzle the skies all over Japan.
Many events happen in mid-August during O-bon, the festival for honouring one’s ancestral spirits.
日本の夏は6月から8月まで続き、暑い季節です。
全国の都市や町では、山車がパレードされ、人々は色とりどりの浴衣に着替え、屋台は通りを埋めつくし、花火大会が開催されます。
7月下旬から8月にかけて、花火が日本中の空を魅了します。
8月中旬には、先祖の霊を称えるお盆では多くの行事が行われます。
