Portability is very important for me. The fan head part should be small and pocketable. Most jet fans have large fan heads but the one with the right size for pockets and thin bags is Jisulife mini (aka Handheld Fan Life 9). The head is about as thin as the handle. And it still does 6.5m/s wind. Seems to last several hours per charge for me. Its plastic and doesn't have fancy features but it does what you need. Metal build fans will heat up with the weather and the fan.

I have the xm64. That plate can really cool down the skin, and will definitely come in handy this coming summer.

I've been using the Jisulife Pro1S and I absolutely love it. It lasts the entire day while using it between 30 to 50 speed. And the 30 speed level is already stronger than the max level of most handheld fans. If I'm somewhere quiet like the office or in a church, I keep it at level 20 or below. It's still quiet at that level while giving a decent amount of air flow. In normal days, it actually takes several days before I even need to charge it even if I use it for a couple of hours every day. I also have the Jisulife Ultra1 and even though that has a stronger battery, I find that it doesn't last nearly as long as the Pro1S. I guess it's because the fan is stronger and consumes more power. Even at just level 1 the Ultra1 already blows a strong wind and is quite loud already. That's why I still mostly use the Pro1S.

I have both in my carts. I still cant decide which one to get. While the cooling plate sounds great, you only benefit from it through physical contact. But its much cheaper than the Jisulife. I love the aesthetic of the Jisulife and the "air power", but the price is putting me off. Idk man.

Hula ko, yung cold plate very likely uses a similar material to IHS plates of processors and CPU coolers (aluminum or copper). Kaya malamig siya sa balat kasi inaabsorb nia yung heat away from the skin since IHS have high thermal conductivity. Honestly, it's a feature I wasn't looking for until you've mentioned it here. haha. Dapat ata sponsored kayo ng Tylex.

since some people have suggested what makes the cold plate cold im now curious to do a deeper dove on it 😅

I really like this review. I am seriously considering Tylexm 39. Cold plate, less whiny (annoying) noise, durability - more my priorities than aesthetics.

I suspect the cold plate is a Peltier cooler similar to phone coolers
@hwsph3 ай бұрын
thank you for this, you have now given me a new tech to explore
@denmargalenzoga841117 күн бұрын
I actually have Tylex XM64. I think you are right with that Peltier cooler. Peltier device uses DC power supply and it effectively and efficiently cool down but the other side of the plate heats up. And maybe that's the reason why it cannot flow a very cold air because it is being equalized from the inner heat. As the hot air passes through the cold plate, it produces a moisture. If you take a look on the inside part next to the cooling plate, you can see an aluminum heat sink to cool down the Peltier device as it generates heat (the back side) when cooling down the front plate.
