Hand Lettering 101: Perfecting Tricky Letters

If you've done even one lettering project there are probably a few letters of the alphabet that drive you crazy. Is it 'S'? Or 'R'? I definitely don't like 'P'! It sounds funny, I know, but some letters are just really tricky to master when it comes to hand lettering. But don't worry! Thanks for the tips Shayda. Can you also tell us a bit about the way you hold the pencil. I tried it to check if it helps the hand be more free or similar but can't really figure out the benefits. Is that a natural grip in which case of course others won't be comfortable with it ... Sorry, I am so curious :-)

Can't imagine how you write holding the pen like that. We were taught not to do that in pre-school. I think you would do better if you held your pen the normal way.
