HAND LINE Fishing - GULF OF PARIA - PATOS - Trinidad, Caribbean
** I know this video is long...my apologies! First fish @6:30 **
After a rough last trip DDI, this time I decided to book the boat based on the moon! It turned out to be a greattt decision!
Our goal for the day was simply to catch fish, as much fish as possible. We decided to make the long run (just less than two hours) to fish in the Gulf. Patos to be exact. Also, luckily, we got a live well full of live bait.
After starting off relatively slow, the bite started to pick up. For the entire day, the fish were biting in 15 to 20 min periods and then stopping for about half hour. Just before we were about the leave, the bite got crazy....But, knowing we had a long drive back, we had to stop fishing and head home.
At the end of it, the count was 45 salmon, 8 cutlass (ribbon) fish, 3 racando (cro cro), 2 black cavali (carrangas), 1 horse eye runner, 1 ancho, 1 sand shark, 4 sting rays, and 10 big eye small salmon (we call them ozils).
We went well into the night cleaning the fish. Overall it was a great day of fishing aboard the Sunfish with Mr. Tallman.

KoS M North eastern coast! When ever you are preparing to shoot for rock fishing consider this area. Your fishing channel has good content and although rock fishing has its negative side (ie, sticking etc) I want to see your preparation and techniques for this type of fishing. Hope you do a video like that in the future.

KoS M de wreck on san Fernando by de warf de number for a boatman is 3680141 he dey right somewhere by de bus station jus call him and he will tell you where he living right by de warf near de bus station somewhere around dat area jus call de number and ask for crabby..de wreck sketchy sometime yuh does catch some monsters and sometime dey doh bite but try if out it real cool but u have to be careful where u walking and thing on that wreck...but yuh should try it real cool

I can try in the future...But I don't have much experience with it...I don't think it is a must have...It takes some time to get used to it, and when you do, you can cast a lot more accurately...But a spinning rod can do just about anything...

Yes correct...In Trini we just have our own names for a lot of fish...I would love to fish more in St. Vincent, but the time is always soo limited. Trinidad has some nice game, but it is getting harder and harder to catch quality fish because of over-fishing and pollution...We need to protect what we have.
