This was my first attempt at a "pancake" style sheath. I made some mistakes in the process, but the end result worked like it was supposed to. Looking back I think my biggest problem is being impatient.

Man, this video came up into my feed. I really miss your video's. You're a great craftsman and I can relate to your shop size. I hope you find time to make more video's. You inspire me to try new things on my CNC.

Honestly. Give that thing a good soak with coconut oil and maybe keep the side to you more flat and the bulge on the outer after you widen out the tips on top of the W pattern.... Looks awesome

I'm a new subscriber to your channel and this video went right along with a pouch I'm looking at making now. I'll be using a Leatherman Mut, a LUC-Pro LP 290 flashlight (Available from Lowes, and I want to put the tools for the Leatherman on the back of the pouch. Currently I use a Niteize pouch that holds all that along with a regular sized harmonica. I've got a few ways I want to make mine, haven't decided which one I want to use. First one is old baseball gloves. First baseman mitts and catchers mitts have the larger pieces if you're worried about that. I pick those up at yard sales for a couple bucks at a time. Nice worn leather to work with.. My next choice is some moose hyde that I got from a friend when I lived in Alaska. It's some pretty thick stuff so, I'm leaning towards the baseball/softball gloves. Third idea is some 4" wide yellow trucker straps. I've picked up rolls of that stuff in some long lengths at (Yes, you guessed it) Yard Sales for a couple of dollars a roll. The only thing wrong with the trucker straps is they're all yellow and nylon.. If they were black, that'd be perfect. When I first watched this video with the whole show being done in fast mode with no talking, I figured "Maybe this guy doesn't speak english?" then you started talking at the end., Might I make a suggestion to talk a little here and there as to what tools you might be using and what the chemicals in the bottles are that you use. OK, one last comment.. Do you have any leather stamps? That thing would be suhweet with a basket weave on the main parts.. Also, there's a tool for working leather that puts all the dots in where you'll stitch. Roll the wheel and on wet leather, you'll have nice little dents, then take your preferred method of hole punch (I prefer the wheel with the different sized holes myself) and it sure beats missing that punch and whacking your hand with that leather mallet. Thanks for the video. Please don't take my comments as negative, just some ideas I saw I thought might help..

What do you think of a CNC pattern cutter? I use to inspect Fire Fighting Turnout Manufacturing and they used a type of CNC to cut patterns.

I know this isn't one of your cnc videos but was wondering if you have been able to complete a project bigger then your work area? Like the size of a coffee table. Start, stop, push it through and start the second half. TIA

I have not done anything bigger on the machine than the work area. They call it tiling. One of the drawbacks to having an enclosure is you are limited to the size of piece you can carve.

It's been a while. I retired last August and have started a new career since then. I have been so busy I haven't had time to do anything but work lately. I'm hoping my schedule will level out in the next month or so and I can start making some more videos. Have lots of ideas, but no time to play.
