Hand Me Down has always been my favourite Matchbox Twenty song & I always cry when I listen to it. I went to see the guys in Brisbane Australia in February 2024 & I cried my heart out seeing Rob sing it live. I have felt like a hand me down my entire life & when I know I just need to have a really good cry I listen to Hand Me Down on repeat until I am all cried out & I can deal with the world around me again.

This is honestly the first song that ever made me cry when I wasn't really sad. When I'm sad though I always listen to this song because it almost feels like Rob is really there,I don't know, but he just sings it so well I just can't. Matchbox Twenty is absolutely brilliant.

I was at this show with my second husband who I thought would give me what I needed. Negative. He used me up, abused me and my children and then kicked us to the curb. 20 years later, criminals took my children destroyed them, my first husband and me. I can hear my whistle on the audio. A friend of ours was Tabbitha’s Secret’s original drummer and for the first year of MB20. He said Rob was the best story teller in song he has ever known. How true. Saw MB20 in concert at Stetson College many years ago. They were every bit as good live as on recordings. Really miss them but the music lives on.
