I really appreciate your explanation on your final video on the "other" channel. It shows your love for the guitar and for music. As a guitar player myself, for as long as you've been alive, it's very refreshing to me to see how far you've come playing by ear. Music theory ISN'T for everyone. For most of us all we want to do is play. Thank you for what you provide.

Am I right in thinking this was the last time we heard a true lead guitar soloist on a Stones record? Keith and Ronnie are great in their own ways, but can't or don't play a flowing and melodic solo like MT did, or Wayne Perkins here on Black and Blue.
@Ermnd2
@Ermnd2 6 жыл бұрын
Chasbo Daniels Wayne Perkins played on worried about you and Taylor played on "Tops" on tattoo you. Ronnie had some great lead solos aswell especially live on the 76 tour . In my opinion .

How many songs have the Stones created in open G? Think the magic in this tuning is that something happens with the bass strings.

Where do you go when you look for a new guitar? A local shop? or do you usually go on ebay or something online? I'm looking for a new guitar maybe a Schecter or a tele .
@jamesjames9275
@jamesjames9275 6 жыл бұрын
I usually start with ebay to price things out. I used to be a purist and I would never buy a guitar that I hadn't played first. But I got past that. If it doesn't play like I want it to play, I can make adjustments. And if I really don't like it, it's pretty simple to put it on ebay and get rid of it.

NYPD had to come to my apt bldg last night for what turned out to be nothing, but as I opened my door to snoop, one of the eagle-eyed cops saw my Les Paul in background and we spent 15 minutes talking about LPs, prices, preferred models. So to Donovan above, New York's Finest says used LP Special in the 800-900-range if you can find one.

James James txs a lot ! But sometimes Keith played with only 5 string, taking off the low E and tuning other strings in open G or open A and I was really disturbed ! I often wondered which tuning Keith used on my lovely hand of fate ! Then I saw Mick Taylor playing no expectation in open E with six string ! Anyway, it still rules ! The real point is when you want play you can’t always need what you want : the five string open A or G is required for the intro ( and the rest of the song also eventually !) They are the best !!!
