Thank you 365, had a lot longer to mess with this one due to the breakage in the 3d print, so had more time to get it how I wanted :) and of course some bloke called Primo has raised the bar.....

I am impressed that you got the ghost of Gary Moore to play some chunky guitar riffs for your pour theme. Obviously, you are a man with very important connections.

Yes indeed he was the master of fusion and crossing the musical streams! a bit like this panel bar! Thank you Titan for watching!

to make those plates visible on camera, you could try put them on a piece of card or cloth or something and back or side light it with a torch or candle even. Subbed!!
@SilverPunkPour2 ай бұрын
Hey Vincent! thanks for a great suggestion, i really like the candle idea, that would look awesome, will try that on one of my up coming silver panel pours for sure! thanks for watching and coming along on my silver pouring journey :)

You'll find, mate, that when you pour your molten metal like you did with the last piece that failed, that you'll have a higher number of fails. Because you're pouring the molten silver from the back of the flat mold the silver comes in contact with the cold sand before it can get to all of the mold, but pouring from the edge allows you to fill the entire mold up with the molten silver quicker than it comes into contact with the cold sand, so it is much better to pour from the edge of a flat piece than from one of the faces. I hope I made it make sense for you but yeah, pouring from the back will cause a lot more failures. BTW Silver in my Most favorite metal, nothing quite like Silver, and it looks even better when it is mounted on a contrasting metal, like Gold or Copper of other colored Golds as well, except white gold for obvious reasons. Keep pouring Mate, Cheers!

Hey Oculus! thank you so much for stopping by, yes I 100% agree, it is far better to pour vertically down as the silver does not cool as quick that way, also gravity helps a bit more force it down into the corners, the only reason i have to do it that way on the back is that if i want to do all 4 panels in one session i only have 3 side hole pour flasks, i will buy another asap to solve this little problem, cheers for the comment, very cool :)

@@SilverPunkPourWhat about heating the sand in an oven before you pour the silver?
@SilverPunkPour2 ай бұрын
@@nyleadamson1834 Hey there for tuning in and watching ! i have never tried that but you have to be careful as it has oil in it, as long as it not freezing cold and warm to the touch i think it should be ok, i havent had any problems before with sand temp, might be something to play with, i know the warmer the better.
@waxore11422 ай бұрын
The vent holes need to go all the way out the edge or the air has nowhere to go! Otherwise nice pieces man, good work.

Hey Waxore! Thanks for the info, will give that a go for sure, thanks for watching, a lot more similar projects coming soon.

Looks to me more like the texture of clay than sand.
@SilverPunkPour2 ай бұрын
Hey Petra! thanks for stopping by, it is sand which has oil mixed in it so it sticks together slightly so you can get the impression stay put, :)

Maybe it should be a deeper relief.
@SilverPunkPour2 ай бұрын
Hey Joe! thanks for comment, yes i would be lovely to do it really thick and really high relief but the silver cost does start to sky rocket! its trying to get that right balance with these pours, the next one ive just done is a lot more relief work :) thanks for stopping by and watching my friend.
