Love it. Something about the words Jalopy, Aluminum, Aircraft Rivets and Louvers that gets me every time. Well done Jordan.

Top job Jordy, really adds to Rexy's rocket. Seeing that carton of lunatic soup near the scales at the beginning brought back memories of nasty encounters with the contents!

Jord, somebody once told me that the difference between an enthusiast and a craftsman is the craftsman knows how to hide his mistakes and the the fix is usually an improvement on the original plan. You are definitely a craftsman! Well done boyo.😊

Taking out your frustrations when things go wrong can be very satisfying. It doesn't "Fix" the issue but it feels better! Thanks for being honest! I got my Sweatshirt and key fob. Thanks for all you do.

Hey Jordan, I'm really impressed with your results on Rex's hood. IMHO, so what that you had a failure on the first hood. You LEARNED! And in so doing, you TAUGHT US what to look for. The hood is spectacular! And the way you added the bracing channels on the edges with those rivets really looks intentional. And I think that your result is better than it would have looked had you followed the true cut line. It looks so good, that you might want to repeat on future hoods.

Besides your artistry, love the honesty and integrity. I am no fab man, but I have left a boot print on a failed patch panel for my 46 and had to start fresh the next day! Admire your work, and the tutorials are some of the best. Awesome hood. Go Bennetts Customs, keep moving forward! We'll be watching!

Nice work on putting the louvres in Jordan I bet it was beer o'clock after you finished !, as others have mentioned a 200 x 50mm poly urethane pallet truck front wheel can easily be fitted to most English wheels for about $60 instead of the PU band. Tell Rex to keep an eye on the "pleather" straps they tend crack and tear. Cheers Greg

Many years ago I was a sales manager of a body shop with no previous experience in the business. One day our lead painter came to me and said; “I need you to look at something and give me your opinion”. My reply was, “you don’t need my opinion as to if it’s “good enough…because you already know it isn’t”. I’ve noticed some similarities in the mutual trait we have of listening to the little voices in our heads that whisper: “No one else will probably notice, but I’m not happy with that.” You have gone far Pilgrim!

Saw somebody using a pneumatic tire on the English wheel to get 2 dimension shape. Theirs had tread on it so t don’t know if it would make a difference with no backing with the voids. Change air pressure or solid tire may make a difference. Don’t have an English wheel so can’t experiment. Tell Karl so he can give opinion. Love watching you guys! Keep it coming!

I use a pneumatic tyre, it definitely works good. different pressures for different materials. Got the idea from Invision Prototypes.

When I made the hood for my buddies cat I made a template from posterboard the copied it onto aluminum sheet . Then I bent it around the round post that held up his deck.

The rivitts down the edges turned out to be really a nice touch. Do you think that those belts can be tightened enough to eliminate any flutter at high speeds?

Nice work sir - I always enjoy your work - RUBBER BAND ON THE WHEEL - I will be honest and I have zero experience with this, however, I used to be a bike mechanic (pushbike) and when ever we had to change a set of handle bar grips we would spray some WD40 between the grip and the bar and the grips would come straight off - however, when it comes to refitting new grips you cannot just slide them on as they were too tight and you cant use lube as they would never grip, so a trick most bike mechanics use is hair spray - it lubes enough to slide the grips on and then sticks and won't come off again unless you use WD40. as I say I have no idea if this will work with the band on the wheel but I would love to know if it does - again keep up the good work as it is genuinely inspirational. Kevin

I think the best look would be if you slope the bottom edges of the hood at the same angle as the center of the hood. Are you going to hinge the center like the original hood?

How much does it cost to have a hood formed. It looks like a 6+ hour shop project. Is that a 900 dollar hood? Or more like 1500?
