This is so helpful! I bought my dog a Hawaiian shirt since we are going to the beach, but since he is so tiny the back end of the shirt was long. I used this hack to tuck in the end of the shirt and sew it to where it's shorter now! Now he is beach ready!!!💗

As a guy, my mom is too busy to sew a shirt that i have, so i've been looking to see how to do it myself. This is what i was looking for. Thx. (I promise i do other chores around the house, just didnt know how to do this one. Just putting it out there incase people thought i was sitting around while begging my mom to do it lol).

How do you get the string off the needle when you're done? I'm confused.
@Mennamations
@Mennamations 7 ай бұрын
You knot it, by putting your needle through the last stitch, then you pull the needle like a new thread. Don’t pull it all the way, instead there will be a loop with the thread you’re about to make, put your needle through the hoop and pull. Do it 2 times, then cut off the string with scissors.

What do I do about all the tiny threads coming out of the fabric piece? Do I leave it or do I pull them out? Sorry I’m still learning.
@SewingatHomeMom
@SewingatHomeMom Жыл бұрын
sorry, I don't understand. Are you talking about the raw edge of the fabric? If that's the case, then it is best to secure/finish the edges by zigzag stitch (done on sewing machine), or run it through serger machine, or trim the fabric with zigzag scissors. Another option is to finish the raw edges by hand with overcast stitch/overlock stitch. I hope this helps!
