In this video i am showing how to tame birds in 5 days. Taming group of birds is easy than for.ome bird. Watch this video completely to see the steps taken for hand tame. First week i have kept food in their cage and mingle with them closely. Second week day 1 , I kept the seed on my hand and waited for them to come and eat from hand , but no luck. Day 2 I continued the same task and they started coming near me and looking if its safe area. Day 3 one of the bird has come and took initiative to start taking seed from hand and luckily the rest followed. Day 4 they are more comfortable and started taking food from me. Day 5 the little birds waits for me and then take the seed from me. The happiness we get when it birds take food from our hand cannot be explained. I suggest all of you to try this and trust me its amazing experience.

I found that things work faster when you have a society finch (which is way easier to tame), who will kind of show other birds that you're not going to harm them. Also one other thing to try is to just put the pelleted food in their bowls, and sparingly use seed. Also avoid giving them any millet in their cages. Then when you bring in your hand with millet, or seed, they become more desperate because they always prefer seed over the pellet food.

Thanks! I'll defenetly try this with my finch. I only have one and at first he was terrified of every movement but rn I try to spend more time around but still can not get him out of cage because I'm afraid he wont go back or he'll hurt himself. Very informative and helpful video!

I will suggest not to keep your bird in cage for first time you open the cage he/she didn't even want to came out because he think cage as secure place (so dont think they dont like to come out ).just keep going and open the cage everyday oneday bird will eventually come and about hurting themself even a human child hurt himself trying to walk but its a process just ensure that for early days hide the glass window or mirror in room with curtainand as it become more comfortable with flight open the curtains and please come back with some good news i have two finches and i keep them open in my room two times a day for about 3 to 4 hrs ....and coming back to cage for one bird is easy as it come to eat its food close the door and please ensure not to cage your flighted feather

I suspect the reasons for the one bird to squabble with the other more trusting/willing bird may have had something to do with flock pecking order even though on the whole, Gouldian finches are very non-aggressive within their flock. Does that make sense to you? The first feeding bird is a female (I could tell from her soft lavender colored chest). The other bird shooing her away had a white chest so I can't easily tell if this might be a more dominant male... or possibly another female (whose genders may have different flock reasons to squabble at a potentially food rich location).

I have a pair of finches... They don't live in such a big space. I've made a cage set up for them. How do I tame them then?
@NaveenPaul
@NaveenPaul 3 жыл бұрын
Same option take them to closed room for some time and open it . You should not keep food inside the cage once you get them in to room you should get it in hand.

Budgies are fairly easy to tame. Finches are so difficult to tame that it's generally advised that if you buy one, expect to never tame it

What material or net you are using in balcony to keep birds from flying away. Please share any lead. Good idea than putting them in cage. And in night do you leave them there only ???
@NaveenPaul
@NaveenPaul 3 жыл бұрын
I used flexible mosquito net to cover up my balcony top of that normal blue net to get little more protection from other birds from outside. Also i used to keep them out side even in night but i won't suggest that because of that and heavy rain and thunder i lost one of my pairs of bird's. So you should make sure evey evening you should go to balcony and make sure they all get in to Nest. You just need to be with them they will automatically fly to nests.i hope this helps you.

Breeding is bit difficult for this. One thing you can do is separate the pairs and keep them in a very safe area means wont get much disturbence of people or other or you can keep the eggs to normal finches next and try that option. I tried the first option and got one set successful.

Hand tame ? Idk what that is but i dont think that's a correct method of bonding with your birds because at the end of the day you want the bird to recognize u as their owner and bond with u like a member of your Family, making a bird merely sit on your hand doesn't do any good to the bird or the owner, for that finches should be purchased when they are young , younger birds are always easy to bond with
@NaveenPaul
@NaveenPaul 4 жыл бұрын
Yes you are correct but if we did not get a chance to buy it in younger stage this is one of the option. May be there so many. But this is a good and better way.

@@NaveenPaul i bought my finches when they were adult , 6-8 months old with bright plumage having variety of vibrant colors , i bonded with them by interacting with them on a daily basis , interaction involved grabbing them through a loose grip in ur palm , feeding them, petting them , letting them free inside the house, holding them in ur hand and giving them a bath with mild sprinkle of water etc, so basically all trust building activities to make them realize u r the one who takes care of them and you aren't a threat to them
